Pop won't really give it a real chance if it hasn't succeeded in another format first. That's how they do with crossover / potential crossover artists.

Also, Epic remains relatively broke and pop radio demands actual radio campaigns for songs to take off.

Basically this. They would have to send it to pop AFTER it has already proven itself on Urban or Rhythmic. If Z100 of KIIS FM start spinning it though, other smaller pop stations will pick it up and it won't need to be sent though (at least not yet) so that's why it's important to request it (especially since Z100 has already playlisted it and it's barely been a single that long )

There are only 3 occasions where gifting works, from my experience
-when the song is in the #101 - #120 range and we want it to enter the top 100 for promo
-when the song is either #11 or #12 and we want it to enter the top 10 for even more promo
-when the song is #2 and we want it to go #1

So, to conclude, don't waste your money yet.

Oh but then again I Bet was already in the top 20 on urban and high on rhythmic too. So 500k in the first day is actually pretty good for this song.

Just researched. I Bet had between 850 - 900k.

And yes, it's totally normal. I Bet was slaying on urban and was top 30 on rhythmic when the video came out and it was also the lead single. DLWML is doing fine for a second single, after weeks of silence and with no airplay
