NG's Top 30 Joints Of 2008....Presents :Top 25 Non-Singles of 2008!
25. The Virgins - Love is Colder than Death
- Deep song. Makes you think about life and how falling in love changes everything.
24. Adele - My Same
- This song is so fun. I love the perky side of Adele.
23. Duffy - Serious
- Another great track off her debut album. It's soulful yet modern so Duffy FTW!
22. Kylie Minoque - Speakerphone
- You know you wanted to dance when this song comes on at a club! That if they play it... *_*
21. John Legend Feat. Brandy - Quickly
- Just epic. This track is like a grown version of "No Air." So good. <3
20. She & Him - I Thought I Saw Your Face Today
- Mesmerizing, who would have thought Zooey Deschanel has such a unique voice.
19. Meiko - Reasons to Love You
- I love this track. It's really mellow and the reason that led me to check out her album.
18. Jazmine Sullivan - Lion, Tigers & Bears
- The next best thing in R&B. I'm betting on it now.
17. Kings of Leon - Revelry
- King of Leons is one of my favorite bands I've discovered this year. This track alone made me love their new album.
16. Santogold - Say Aha
- Another Santogold anthem. She's killing it on this one!
15. Mariah Carey - Last Kiss
- Possibly the best Mariah song since "We Belong Together," yeah I'd go there. =X
14. N.E.R.D. - Anti Matter
- This song is such a party starter. YOU Punk Bitch, galore!
13. Pink - I Don't Believe You
- Nice ballad. Pink definitely delivers an emotional side of her in this track.
12. Jennifer Hudson Feat. Ludacris - Pocketbook
- Another hot Timbo production. Don't make me hit you with my pocketbook!
11. Beyonce - Broken-Hearted Girl
- Possibly one of the best songs from Sasha Fierce album. It's just really Beyonce at her best.
10. Ray LaMontagne - Let It Be Me
- His voice fits the music perfectly. I can hear it in various indie films, good times.
09. Jay-Z Feat. Santogold - Brooklyn (Go Hard)
- Possibly one of the most appreciated tracks of '08. Santogold reunites with Jigga for this street anthem. Loves it.
08. Britney Spears - If U Seek Amy
- All of the boys and all of the girls are begging to F U C K ME! LOL. Gotta love Britney.
07. Does It Offend You, Yeah? - Being Bad Feels Pretty Good
- Catchy choruses, great song to jam to when you're driving or at a party. I can't get enough of this track.
06. Brandy - A Capella (Something's Missing)
- I couldn't get enough of boom clap! Brandy's vocal shine in this track, hence my favorite song off of her new album as well.
05. Kanye West - Robocop
- Okay okay! okay okay! I love it! The last verse with the whole "oh you kidding me? you must be joking!... ha ha that was a good one, your first good one in a while!" is just awesome. LOL.
04. Adele - Melt My Heart to Stone
- It's possibly one of the saddest songs I heard this whole year. I mean, I almost cried listening to this song once, that's how amazing it is...
03. Kanye West - Bad News
- I LOVE this song. Kanye makes a simple song and turns it into an epic heartbreaking anthem. The two minutes of music at the end make the song even more depressing and haunting.
02. Ra Ra Riot - Each Year
- This song is just purely amazing. Something about Ra Ra Riot just stands out. The RAC remix of this track is even better!
01. T.I. Feat. Kanye West, Lil' Wayne & Jay-Z - Swagga Like Us
- Best hip-hop song of the year. I must admit that the genre of hip-hop soared this year, but
Swagga Like Us unites heavy hitters in the hip-hop game. T.I.'s verse in this track is like the best rap solo verse I've heard all year. His flow is sick! If
Swagga Like Us had a video and released officially, it would no doubt be my number one joint this year.
Still to come... top two singles and top two albums.
