In addition to the “Easy” video, which premieres today on EW, McKee is also preparing to share what she calls a “Christmas surprise” for fans later this year: an unreleased video for a years-old song, one that pre-dates her 2013 single “American Girl.” “We made this beautiful video when I was still at Epic that never got released, but I paid for it and own it,” she says. “I’m excited to finally share it with the world because it’s been floating around in my head for seven years.”

Though she spent much of the past year in writing camps for other artists, she’s currently focusing on her solo work instead of collaborating with others. She says she doesn’t know, for instance, if she’ll work on the new LP from Katy Perry

I'm glad to see she is focusing on her own material and I hope she continues to do so. I understand she makes her living on song writing royalties but it's clear that her time as the go to songwriter is waning. If she wants to last in the industry her career as a singer is her best bet.

Does anyone know why "I Want It All" is such a YouTube hit? It has 2/3rds more views than "Wasted Youth" despite being released 6 months later. Did the Vicetone remix really help it that much?

Also the "Easy" video is an ACHIEVEMENT. I'm so glad she stuck with the visual EP concept and finally made a visual for every song. As an independant artist. Such a driven legend. I really hope her album has '1000 Forms of Fear' success at least, it's about time.

Imagine if she polished up Restless and got a rapper (Juicy J?) on it. It could legitimately be SOTS 2017.

Wait, what? Since 2009? But she wasn't signed to Epic until 2013, right? So she wrote/recorded a song in 2009 and then planned to release it as a single in 2013? I guess it's not S*L*A*Y then because she definitely wrote that post-Katy songwriting fame when people began to take notice of her and saying "slay mama" to her.

No idea about the "IWIA" video but the remix truly is amazing, and you're right about "Restless." I final version would literally destroy everyone. Though it might have missed it's moment.

I was actually getting my relatable life to "Stud Muffin" the other morning. Am currently seeing a new guy and it's going really well and he text me a cute good morning when I was walking to work and it just made me so happy and "Stud Muffin" is so amazing! I actually love it so much.

Anyway the "Easy" video remains flawless and amazing. Wow what a great EP, I wish there were more live performances but I guess she ain't got no real reason to book those promo slots.
