The first 4 are my favorites.

I'm on a mission to boycott award shows. But we have GRAMMYs rolling next month. Don't get me wrong, I watch award shows only for the performances. Still yo-yo-ing about it.
Like Taylor said, there's a line between constructive criticism, professional criticism, and pure troll opinion. The ones that will always try to tear ppl down. I'm cool with the first two, but don't expect me to keep quiet when you crossed the line. People need to understand this concept before opening their mouths or putting their opinions on line. Sounding harsh while undoubtedly saying the worst & stupidest opinion doesn't make you cool. I always keep that in mind.
Being successful has little to do with award shows & mainstream media coverage. Just ask The Flaming Lips. They've been active as a band for 30 years and hugely successful, but they're hardly to be found at any mainstream blogs archives.

Fearless is still sitting pretty in Top 100 Albums. At wow at Speak Now, NZ Top 40. Preparing for Australia leg I see. And her debut did good for a catalog album. Now hoping she'll keep on this track with her upcoming release.

Normal. I also love to watch the performances.
I, normally, don't care about criticism. Obviously it's good to have some opinions that will make you keep getting better and better, but it's not like we should care about them.
Never heard of this band lol But if they sell records, they are fine then.

I think I get this uber-snob attitude due to my obsession with alternative scene.
We have a different views on criticism here. I've always listened to rock critics that have been active for years, or the ones that are objective in their reviews. Cause they know more than us, it makes their opinions matter.
TFL is great actually. Saw them live in concert a year ago. One of the coolest show I've ever seen.
<-- literally what I think about the vocalist's performance on stage.

Not a criticism of Lana Del Rey because I don't dislike her or even think she's bad, but I think it's interesting how after her SNL performance, many critics while saying it was bad, were saying hold on, she was nervous, it's just her style etc etc..and the same for Steven Tyler's anthem performance...they were saying "It's just how he sings..he's a rock singer U get what u get...etc.. but after any performance of Taylor's all the critics and anti-fans are saying "she can't sing..and every other harsh hateful thing they can think.
Taylor's singing to me is great because she convey's every emotion she wants to and needs to in the song via the nuances of her voice, in emphasis, pauses, a laugh here and there, just everything about it. And she can and has sang on pitch and on key, and still gets picked at by those that want to destroy her because of some innate dislike or antagonism they feel.
It's an interesting commentary on human nature and fandoms, how a person as unassuming and unaggressive and just downright nice like Taylor stirs so much hate and active attempts to destroy her career.
Am I overstating it? I don't think so, what about you guys?

People think she can't defend herself and won't bite back, that's why they blame her for nearly everything. Not fair, right?

I'm not here for Mean, Sparks Fly, or Ours at the Grammys.
Oh, and Eponine dies in Les Mis? So, Taylor's going to die in the movie?

YES. We get (another) death scene!
Hopefully it will be even better than her CSI death scene.

so right!! taylor has had enough share of criticism for her whole career.....!!! its time the critics take a new outlook and see taylor as a perfect songwriter and a great singer and musician..!!! they should get out of their pre conceived notions based on i dont know what and love taylor for who she really is..!!!

In the cultural fight I believe it’s more practical to pull a lever and switch the track rather than stopping the momentum of a train. What if, while silently boycotting next year’s ACA, Ms Swift held an intimate livestream event during the show? She could perform some pop music as well as some real country and maybe reach a whole new audience. If she’s been inviting pop singers and rappers on stage, surely she could get some local hillbillies to play some traditional music. Let the kids see what it’s about. With something simple as this, Taylor Swift (or someone) could do something culturally relevent and significant without her corporate handlers even realizing it.

Just found this one. Brilliant idea!

I remember reading that! It reminds me a bit of the time Gaga spent a night tweeting random fans on twitter instead of attending the People's Choice Awards or something.
I'd love for Taylor to do something like that... but not with the Grammys, CMAs, ACMs... One of the others.

The one that created by FOX you mean?
But really, if Taylor pull that trick, imagine how much fans she will gain from the underground ppl? Hardly a few.

She already died in the CSI episode. So she has the experience.
Also agree what you guys said about Taylor`s critics. They do not make sense at all. She is a great singer and proves it times and times again. But this one ****up she had (@the Grammy awards) is still rubbed in her face after years.
