While the device will probably last, phones are usually dropped before the next major update. Apple supports their phones for 4-5 years, which is amazing.

True, but it probably won't matter for everyday use. It is interesting how the iPhone has worse specs yet outperforms its competitors.

Siri sucks, tbh.
FaceTime is cool, but there's other ways to video chat.
iMessage is also cool and is very useful in the US. If you're outside of the US most people use WhatsApp anyway.
Android has the Play Store.
