In terms of televised performances yes, sure but there was still work behind those singles, Bad Blood got a new version with Kendrick Lamar, she released posters of it with famous people that appeared on the MV which was premiered at the BMA's.

Wildest Dreams MV premiered at the VMA's

OOTW MV premiered at the New Year's Rockin' Eve and got a Grammy performance (it didn't help it's chart-run much though)

With New Romantics she just released a tour video exclusively on Apple Music after it was already getting negative updates on pop radio.

Now I know you don't actually believe that. ATRL has skewed your perception of reality otherwise. 1989 era had some of the biggest single campaigns in recent years (which is a good thing, shows she cares, wish more pop girls did that). Style and NR were the only real under-promoted ones.

At least it seems likely to go top 40 on the Hot 100 even if just for a week and also is very close to 500k sales right?, the way radio treated/ is treating this song killed it but her and her team didn't treat it as they should neither and also OOTW under-performance had a big effect on this song..

Well OOTW had already peaked when this got announced as the next single, I was a little surprised tbh, I thought there was a great chance that there wouldn't be more singles released, I was happy about it though because I knew it had a lot of potential.
The thing is, if they were going to release another single why not treat it properly? I was not expecting massive promotion of course but c'mon, a tour video when it had already peaked on radio?

I loved to look at this era's success and strategy, they did a lot of things right, I feel like the first 5 singles were a must-release but it bothers me that this era could've ended on a much higher note and they just didn't handle the end of it as they could and should, I also feel kinda bad for AYHTDWS, great song but there wasn't room for it to show it's true potential, after OOTW I believe that NR was the best choice

Now let's see what she does next, I wonder if she will release this year, if I had to guess I would say that she will wait for 2017.

Wildest Dreams only had a tweet and a video premiere to cling to. Good thing her momentum coming from Bad Blood was great that's why the song did good.

New Romantics was treated the worst

Teenage Dream single campaign is still the only MASSIVE one. Remixes, live performances for all singles (except LFN which had a big video and discounts and remixes), expensive videos, discounts and everything. I don't think anyone can top it tbh.
