Yeah, Interscope didn't ship enough copies to the US. Most stores that did have the album we're out of them in a few days.

Last I checked there were 300 million people in the US. Virtually all of which would at least recognize the name Britney Spears or Lady Gaga. When you recognize a name you are much more likely to buy on impulse.

Lana is NOT mainstream. Its not an insult....I love her. Facts are facts.

That's not quite right, If Lana had Radio support (like in GB, I think she sold 30.000 without an EP!) so she would have a chance to sell near 200k. But it's alright like it is, Lana said by her-self she don't like the US radio culture. I was by my-self twice in US and I must say she is right.

Lana has the prefect career, really. Interscope would appear to let her do basically what she wants and she sells loads of albums and earns sh*tloads of money modelling. I for one would not want her on US radio unless it was on her terms and certainly not because she decides to dumb her music down to appeal to the generic pop sh*t crowd. I would have a serious problem with that, personally.

Everybody's drops will probably be smaller due to Thanksgiving sales, though.

Let's just hope Legend X doesn't disappoint - well, again - when it comes to that.

Good analogy. Katy is using as much of the time she has in the spotlight to ingrain herself in the minds of people, even down to that movie she did. We still remember Crossroads don't we? While Aguilera likes to say she's been in the industry "over a decade" she fails to mention she wasn't there for most of it. Long breaks and time off made people forget. She found no musical identity and she no longers know who her audience is(during her debut it was the same people who sent One Direction to the top of the charts and that same demographic is long over her).

I thought it couldn't get worse with Bionic. Aguilera proves me wrong in that regard often at least.

That's exactly what I think. She's always saying she's been here for more than a decade but come on, then Cyndi Lauper is been around for almost 30 years as well

It's pretty sad because it feels like she's been totally forgotten by the GP, although she was the second best selling female artist of last decade.. she has no legacy.
