Let's go the beach, EACH
Let's go get away
THEY. SAY What they gonna say
Have a drink, BLINK
Found the Bud Light
Bad Bitches like me is hard to come by
I'll share my full opinions on the song later in the week.
EDIT: This is generic trash but it works to an extent because it's catchy and has a dance beat.. She really needs to build up on her urban fan base really quick or there will be problems with the 1st week sales. I understand her "plan" for this era but it might back fire on her. Generic pop doesn't shift albums and nor do songs like Roman Holiday. She needs to make a radio friendly urban song (ex. Moment 4 Life) without the Roman **** to let them start rotating now. **** I wouldn't even care if it got a watered down Wayne feature along to it, but it got to be something.
I got a little happy, and started a little bit.
I'll explain more later.
Actually those lyrics are missing the silent line when the Twinkle Twinkle sample plays. So it actually goes:
Quote:
Dance all night,
there's no end in sight
Twinkle twinkle little star
[How I wonder what you are]
Now everybody let me hear ya say ray, ray, ray
Go spend all your money cause its they pay day
And if you're a G, you're a G, G G
My name is Onika, you can call me Nicki
Ok, this is a lot better since I only heard half of it on radio this morning. Its still pretty generic, and RedOne expanded his sound, but completely to a Dr Luke rip off. The breakdown though, is everything.

it was also produced by Rami Yacoub, a loooongtime collaborator of Max Martin, so I think that explains the guitars in the beginning/some of the elements that seem really different from a RedOne production.
I can't help but smile when listening to this (and it's been on repeat). I think that ultimately explains why I like it, even though I think the song has a lot of problems.
I bought it off iTunes this morning and have been repeating it ever since. I'm still disappointed that Nicki barely incorporated rap into this song, and overall it doesn't even feel like a Nicki song, but it still bumps.
I never thought I'd see the day when Nicki used House breakdowns in her material.
