Like I said above, if she is being portrayed as the lead/a figurehead a la Jessica, you'd think she'd have worked out her schedule to extend that number. Unless, of course, she does die mid-season, BUT then again, in that case, it doesn't totally make sense as to why Ryan has been using her to pump the hype machine. Everyone in the main cast in Freak Show was in 10+ episodes, apart from Michael and Francis, who died. And even other characters who died before the finale managed more. Meh, oh well.
I think it's obvious why they're using her in all the promos. It's the same reason they used Drew Barrymore in Scream and Ariana Grande in Scream Queens. Although Gaga will have bigger roles than both of them, the point is that they have massive fanbases and are used to pull in fans of those people for viewing. Her being used in all the promo is just a promotional move, not any indication of her role.
The thing about Freak Show was that it took a while to get going, despite glimmers of greatness like the Edward Mordrake episodes, and then once it did get going (episodes 8-10), it was great, but then it got really bad after that. Like, really, really, really bad.

Violet gives me life, so does Vivian... the whole cast does; but It was so scary when Tate shot up the school, especially since I'm in high school the way they shot it was so chilling.
