I don't see why I should limit myself, I try and listen to music from every country, in any language, any genre. The US has its own share of great music.

The average is like 6 weeks. US charts are more organized and accurate, which is why.

Before we had an accurate system in 1991 we had new #1's every week too.

I try to listen to everything but British pop is kinda much superior to American pop
