The issue is that F/SN has 3 different routes, and the characters have different roles in each of them. Like Illya dies in this one but has a bigger role in the other 2 routes, same with Rider and the other characters.

But yeah Kishi said she is Sakura's daughter and was designed to be the female Sasuke but with a bit of Sakura otherwise she would be too scary or something.

As getinthezone said the special thing about F/SN is that it has 3 routes. Each route only focus on developing certain characters so to get the whole story you have to read/watch all of them. Illyah's character development was in Fate route and her real role was showed in Heaven's Feel.

I've been reading this thread for a while and thanks to you guys I discovered Fate/Stay Night, which I loved (the one you're talking about right now haha) I finished the Fate/Stay Night route today, I will start Fate/Zero tomorrow and I can't wait to start the Unlimited Blade Works route, I've read that it focuses more in Rin and Archer and those are my fave characters
Can you recommend me some good animes?
