idk if you watched Nicole's Behind The Music, but she said in that documentary, that her bf at that time Nick Hexum, was a big figure in her life, it was her manager and she saw him as a sort of "father-ish" person in her life. Her boyfriend talked to will.i.am and made Nicole delcine the offer, since her boyfriend thought she would be better off as solo act

she sings most of it. The Timbaland songs have Candice Nelson as bgsinger and Melody does some vocals here and there. But she mainly worked on it on her own. If her label didn't forced her back into PCD (Keri Hilson confirmed that) than they would have been her solo material.

That was also named in her behind the music special. She worked her ass off on the song and she felt the song was more "her" than "the group", so she saw it as a way to get credited for her work, the label agreed and tried to use it as extra steppingstone for a solo re-launch

we never got an official statement, but it seems that Nicole was the only one that had a contract, while the others were just hired. That is why I think the others could step out easily, while Nicole also did that random line-up

It was all a plan by will.i.am, the whole "my car was stolen" act, they tried to put everything under an alterego and an fake hackcrew leaked material from his laptop that also was in that supposed car. The video was basically meant as video of that crew dancing to the "stolen material, but it was easy to hear it was Nicole and she was spotted with that wig some time before.

Doubt it, the whole US version was a mess though. You can see that she was pressured on the US one, especially with the whole copy, cut and paste thing, what happened during the auditions. She had to "prove" herself in the US
