Nope, it's definitely platinum.
The first barcode is AA 40000.
You can't ship 40,000 copies, and only 'almost' be platinum, when the threshold for platinum is 40,000 shipments. That's not how it works.
Pls go Google abt Brazilian certifications pls, ty.

Even if it had sold 20k, I would think that UM wouldn't know about it just hours after the release, as retailers tend to report their sales on a weekly basis, opposed to every few hours, no?

Honestly if this new album ends up with ~300k (US) it's a success for her standards and the current music scene that is tragic.

I wonder if Cool For The Summer will end up with more sales in the UK than Heart Attack. It's still doing pretty well and summer ended a long time ago there.

It's only selling about 10-13k weekly rn, and it's only at 163k, so i don't think it'll be possible, since HA is probably like 300,000 rn.

Confident will be Demi Lovato's fifth straight top five album - her entire output - in America but it just misses out on being her first here, debuting at number six (9,444 sales) following the recent number 7 success of the single Cool For The Summer. Lovato's last album, the 2010 effort Demi, was both her biggest seller and highest charting hitherto, opening and peaking at number 10 on sales of 10,658, which have now grown to 86,731.
