I'm starting to watch some of the performances from this week. I don't really keep up with the UK version as I do with the Australian version or the US version (the latter I obviously have TV access to being from California).
But ok:
Abi has an Ellie Goulding type of voice and the Kylie performance was awkward.
Hannah was flawless
Sam Callahan is HOT
However, I think the huge amount of black contestants this season is causing them all to split votes. That's probably what affected Lorna last week because she had to compete with two black girls and two black groups. I wish there was more racial diversity on this show. At least the US version offers that this year with the latino, Asian, black AND white contestants.
The Australian version had an Aberoriginal girl, an Asian powerhouse, a couple of latino or Filipino contestants, a black girl group & a black Over 25. So there's a little more variety on there as well.
On this show, this season, it's basically white vs. Black, and all the black contestants are pop/R&B. That's gonna lead to vote splitting.
So the lack of racial diversity bothers me this season.
