Petra's biggest problem is that she's strictly a fast-court player, but all the courts these days are so slow, compared with about 10 years ago. If they were faster, she would be DRAGGING everyone on a regular basis.

Anyway, I'm so encouraged by Vinas now. She's quicker and seems to be less tired/lethargic than in Miami and Charleston. Her peak nowadays is pretty much about 30% of what she used to be capable of, but clearly it's still enough to get some big wins.

And Serena continues to slay. Her draw (for once) is so easy until the final, unless Li starts playing amazing. At this point I don't really mind if she wins or not.

This clay season giving me so much life

That first set between Ana and Maria was everything. The best part was you knew the entire time that Maria would win it, even down 6 set points. Maria vs Venus should be fun/horrible.

Well, she's just not interesting, and I can't get into her. And Lindsay's game at her peak was fabulous. Kvitova hasn't served me with even closely similar form.

Yup. I'm expecting to see her in the final. Pennetta should be a good match-up, but hardly a threat.
