What's there to be confused about? It's gaining well on AC, hot AC, and pop radio, so its digital sales are increasing too. It's getting a lot of play on VH1 as well.
I wasn't really surprised about 3 Doors Down's run. They've never really been a single selling band. Isn't their best selling song "It's Not My Time"? If I remember correctly, it barely made over two million downloads. They're much bigger when it comes to album sales and radio airplay. I think "When You're Young" will pick up on radio, which will help it stabilize on iTunes a bit, but I don't see it selling much more than a million unless it becomes a top 20 hit on pop radio. I kind of like the song. It's sort of a mixture between "Here Without You" and "When I'm Gone," which are two of their best songs, in my opinion.
As for Panic! At the Disco, they did better than I thought they would. I only expected it to barely make the top 70. I'm not a fan of Panic! (so glad they brought back the exclamation mark, by the way), but this song is amazing. I think I may like it better than "I Write Sins Not Tragedies." They need to release it to pop and hot AC. I can actually see it being their biggest crossover hit since "I Write Sins Not Tragedies." If it does crossover, I can see it easily selling two million downloads.
