Femme Fatale is mostly Dr.Luke product so its totally irrelevant and bad example.Its not dark nor futuristic.Katy can make dance album without being (really) generic,see Marina.Instead of repeating herself she should try something new.There are great producers out there who are able to produce her great dance records with hip-hop-influences.
She can't pull off edgy rock record,let's get real here.It can only end up being as "generic Max Martin wannabe rock album in Pink/Kelly Clarkson style".And I'm not here for that.
