Right. What about how much people where studied? And where/how does it say that they adjusted the factors in the document/pdf you sent me? I CTRL+F "when all things are equal" and no results showed
Ok. Maybe you're right. But the problem is. You're looking at this from a gay extremely liberal pc "equal for all" perspective. I am looking at this from a realistic, straight males perspective, who wants a wife and kids. And that woman is going to expect me to be the "man of the house" and expect me to take care of her, that's how it's always been and I don't think it's ever going to change. You say gender roles like it's a bad thing, I don't think it's a bad thing. There's no harm in saying that we are not the same. Male, female we are made differently biologically, and that is what has shaped society/gender norms. And I believe that's simply how God intended.
As I said, I'm seeing this from a straight males perspective. I believe in gender equality to an extent but that doesn't mean I'm going to allow a woman to command a relationship/the house. Idc if that sounds sexist. That's not happening, it's not realistic. People should stick to their roles.
|
So you're a homophobe and a sexist. You keep digging your hole deeper and deeper.
and as for the "people sticking to their roles" point, all I can say is WOW.

See? I just did what 34909435 other "studies" have done. What makes them different is the how.
Did I go to every ATRLer on here and ask? Or did I just yank that out my ass?

didn't you introduce yourself as a chick in the K$ thread???

Are you single? Because you might have a hard time finding a wife that agrees completely with you. You're idea that "God created gender roles" is ridiculous. If that were true, why are gender roles so vastly different amongst different cultures?

Yet you didn't post them to me... You're simply a sheep trying to hard to be an edgy liberal. You don't care if what you are saying posting makes sense or not as long as it confronts the norm. Like all you've done is post redundant links without actually comprehending it's content an called me names as a rebuttal. You think that makes you clever, bro?

I haven't posted any links in here though?
I'm laughing so hard right now at your "gender roles" rant and the macho little "bro" at the end of your post How are you ever going to find a woman to marry if you're a misogynist ****?

How is he a sheep, when he was the one that went and did research to form an opinion, rather than sticking to conservative rhetoric?

You may find this hard to believe but most women aren't burning their bras and looking for domination over men...
I don't want to bring my religion into this, because it will just get messy and that can be avoided but I am yet to hear of a matriarchal society. They don't exist no? How vastly different are they really?
I use to be like you, and got into an argument with my mum about gender equality, and then I realize that I don't really want a chick bossing me around. She'll just give me headache. I wasn't being realistic. I live in a culture where women tend to marry above them, and look for a man who can take care of her. And I don't think there's anything wrong with that, nor do I think there's anything wrong with an independent woman. But I'm African who wants a patner who understands my culture, so something you would call submissive wife isn't going to be something hard to find. It isn't even hard to find in the West.... That doesn't make me barbaric. There can only be one head to a relationship, and I'd be damned if that ever becomes a women in my situation.

As an extremely dominating female myself, I just find it interesting to hear this mindset. I'm curious, why do you feel this way? Do you feel threatened? Like your masculinity is on the line?
It's your life; you're free to choose how to live it. You definitely would never be with a person like me, and vice versa.
