Welcome castaways to your 5th Results Show. Below will be the rates/commentary of the judges for each of the contestants. After you browse through those, I will post the individual average scores for each tribe's contestants, a leaderboard showing how you all rank individually at this point, and most importantly the final average team scores which will determine which tribe is heading to Tribal Council.

For any reminders as to what each score means:
A score of...
9 - 10: You clearly understand the theme and delivered an A level entry.
8 - 8.5: You understand the theme and showed it with your song, but your song fails to do so as strongly as the 9 - 10 level entries.
7 - 7.5: You scraped the theme well enough but there's something missing that's keeping you from nailing it.
5 - 6.5: There's something related to the theme but it's not primary enough to receive a high score.
4 - 5.5: There's barely anything related to the theme at all.
2 - 3.5: You sent in a song. We're just not sure why.

Tribe Abantu

1. iHypeMusic - Christina Aguilera - Love Will Find A Way

Dylan - 8 - This is my favorite song off her debut. How was it not a single? She's telling her man that they're going to get through whatever so it definitely fits that aspect. I wish it was more internal problems than listening to what others say, but if she has to tell her man that he needs to srtop and think about the love they have... there must be some serious problems going on somewhere even if it's an upbeat song. Overall, a solid entry.

Nicole - 8 - Nice to see a Legend X song being picked for something! This is one of the better songs from her debut and it works well enough. Although it seems to be more about outsiders having a problem with her relationship more than anything at least she does hint that is actually causing real problems between her and her man, which is an important aspect that we needed to see .

Ethan - 10 - Christina screams sings that “love will find a way” through the “ups and downs”, and that’s perfect for this round. It’s a bumpy relationship.

2. coolcristobal - Demi Lovato & Joe Jonas - Wouldn't Change a Thing

Dylan - 7.5 - This isn't exactly what I was looking for this round, but it does hit the theme to a degree. They can drive eachother nuts, but they still love each other regardless because the love overshadows the hate. I wish it showed that they actually want to get through things though. It's more of a hate you love you song than exactly what I was looking for. Not your best round. But not a horrible flop either. Even your flop round is decent enough.

Nicole - 9 - Woo lord whenever the Disney stars collaborated on a song it always ended up being cheesy to the max. At least this song is cute! That being said, you picked another strong song in regards to the wrong. Demi and Joe definitely seem to have their differences in their relationship but they choose to not let them affect what they have because they believe they are meant for each other.

Ethan - 7 - In this song, they do talk about having their little 16-year-old problems, but where it misses the mark is that they say they wouldn’t change a thing rather than saying that they’ll get through it and it will be worth it. I think we’re looking for songs more about relationships that they do want to fix

3. johnsuxx - P!nk feat. Lily Allen - True Love

Dylan - 7 - She seems to be saying that "true love" is the relationship she describes. She's saying true love has that "i hate you" theme running along it. This is another song where it's more of a hate you love you song than exactly what I was looking for. He gets under her skin and she loves him. But the main point of the song seems to be saying love isn't perfect rather than that their love will make it in the end. I do see why you chose it but it's still not your best john.

Nicole - 7 - I can see why you chose this but overall I think there were better choices. More than anything this song is about Pink's definition of true love. It's obviously describing relationship with Corey...they bicker, argue, he gets under her skin, etc but she still can't imagine herself being with anyone else. The overall theme to me has always been that love isn't all sunshine and rainbows but in the end that's okay. That could be saying in a way none of their problems matter but it's not as direct as other songs and it isn't the main theme here.

Ethan - 7 - P!nk definitely has a love/hate relationship with her husband, considering they were married and then got divorced and she wrote So What about him and got him to be in the music video and then they got back together and now have a child, so she was gonna have to have something that worked! Unfortunately a love/hate relationship isn’t totally what this round was about, and even though they do talk about getting over their problems, it’s more of a “you’re an asshole but I love you” song.

4. BlazingLovatic - Cheryl Cole - Fight For This Love

Dylan - 8 - This one is pretty much like the Christina Aguilera song. It's similar to Don't! at the same time as well though. It's a fuse of the fact that they have to fight for love, but also that he shouldn't go and he should go back to how things used to be with her. She's telling him they have to "fight for" their love. Pretty good entry. Better than last round.

Nicole - 8 - A decent choice but I don't think Cheryl is diminishing all of the issues she has with her man here. She still wants to fight and stay together of course, so it works to that degree, but I don't think she's saying all of the smaller things don't matter at all. It fits but I see it perhaps as a bit more of a serious view. Like one where the relationship really could break because there actually is a big issue or two between them but Cheryl is willing to overlook it anyway. Just my take.

Ethan - 9 - I don’t know if it perfectly fits, but at least she’s saying that the love is worth fighting for and that they know it won’t be easy but they’ll get through it. It’s a good choice, it just doesn’t totally hit the nail on the head.

5. Starships - Taylor Swift - Stay Stay Stay

Dylan - 8.5 - Strongest out of your tribe in my opinion. She mentions a fight at the beginning of the song. Then she basically goes on to explain how they're right for each other and how they should stay together. They're not giving up on their relationship because they know at the end of the day, it's real. The cheery tone is a little off putting but nevertheless, nice choice.

Nicole - 8.5 - Well at first I wasn't sure if I liked this choice because I thought it was more about Taylor just being happy that she's found someone who she feels is right for her. Then I thought about how she did describe seemingly dramatic fight in the first verse so I suppose she is in a roundabout way saying times like that don't matter because she's in love and thinks this relationship is right. A simple song but a good choice.

Ethan - 6 - This misses the theme for me. The first verse mentions their problems, but the rest of the song just talks about how great he is. It doesn’t seem like she’s maturely ready to deal with all the little problems, she was ready to give up until he took the high road.

6. dimitrius - Ne-Yo - Not Perfect

Dylan - 6 - It seems a bit one sided to me. It's almost as if the girl is done with him and he's asking for one more chance. I think you attempted to go the Don't! route, but it didn't really work out for you. He's not perfect. But from what he says, that doesn't seem to be okay with her since he's begging her to basically be with him. I see where you were coming from, but not your best. You had a great round last round too. Sorry.

Nicole - 5.5 - You did a great job last time so I wanted to say you did this time as well but unfortunately this song just doesn't really fit. Sounds to me like Ne-Yo is begging his girl to give him another chance and saying that he'll change. To me, that makes it sound as if his girl has a serious issue with him and how he is treating her and possibly that the relationship could actually be over. He's begging for forgiveness and another chance more than anything so therefore this song wasn't a good choice.

Ethan - 6 - He is owning up to his mistakes, but it seems a bit one-sided; he’s like begging her to stay and saying he’ll work on it. It’s hard to match it with the theme just because it’s so one-sided.

7. Lucky#17 - Karmin - Tidal Wave

Dylan - 5 - Aww. Karmin. They deserve better than their label. I feel like it is more asking what the theme is answering. They're asking if they can brave the tidal wave, but it doesn't seem to have any signs of hope that they actually will in the lyrics. The theme was more finding songs saying that the little things don't matter. Here, it seems to be a very crucial situation rather than little problems. I hope that helps you understand why this isn't a good choice.

Nicole - 6 - This is a great song! I loved hearing do something different than what we're heard so far from them but unfortunately it doesn't work well for this round. When we're talking about overlooking the small issues in a relationship because of love that means there should be some type of hopeful vibe to the song overall. This song is quite somber. They are saying they love each other but their issues most definitely don't sound small and it sounds like there isn't a ton of hope for the relationship surviving. It could really go either way and they are coming from a defeated place rather than one of trying to fix it.

Ethan - 4 - Aside from one line about “my love will never subside,” the rest of the song seems pretty wishy-washy about whether or not the relationship is worth it and if it will last. “Can we brave the tidal wave?” never gets answered, so it really misses the point of the theme I think. It’s supposed to be saying that their love is worth the bumps, but this song doesn’t talk about that.

Tribe Jikelele

1. Sebas - Lily Allen - He Wasn't There

Dylan - 6.5 - The song is actually a great fit, but I can't give you a good score because it's clearly about her father. The first line of the Round 5 description was that we were heading back to romance. So you need to be more careful when reading because you just potentially missed out on a very good score just because you didn't notice the romantic theme of the round. You've had two great rounds previously so I'm sure you'll be able to rise like a Lotus next round.

Nicole - 5.5 - This song would have been great...if it weren't about her father. It seems to me that is most definitely is. Dylan wanted songs about romance and he stated that so yeah I can't really give a song about family a great score here. I think overlooking things with family is easier sometimes than looking over them with your significant other because your family is your family and they're always going to be a constant in your life. That can't really be compared to a romantic relationship.

Ethan - 6 - It’s an interesting choice because it’s not about a typical relationship, but it’s not as bad as it could have been. Just like the Ne-Yo song, it’s one-sided because her dad is the one that’s always messing up, but at least she does say that she’s always still loved him through it. She mentions that she wouldn’t change him, which isn’t exactly what we were looking for, but it’s a creative choice.

2. MiMiLamb - Rihanna feat. Ne-Yo - Hate That I Love You

Dylan - 6.5 - The song does mention fussing & fighting so clearly the relationshp isn't perfect. But the song is more focusing on how naive they both are since they continue to just ignore the problems. Ignoring the problems isn't really accepting them as little in the long run. Not the best choice for this round.

Nicole - 6.5 - Eh. Not a great choice because it sounds like they have a naive lust for each other and they both let issues be brushed under the carpet easily. However, if you don't face an issue in a relationship eventually that issue is going to come back up to the surface and cause problems. Brushing something under the carpet doesn't mean an issue isn't important and if you're saying, "I hate that I love you so" are you truly happy with the direction the relationship is going?

Ethan - 6 - This song seems like it’s more about them being concerned with how much they love each other, rather than just having a relationship that has bumps in it. They do mention that they can’t stay mad at each other, so it’s not a terrible choice, it’s just not exactly what we were looking for.

3. Speezy - Guy Sebastian & Jordin Sparks - Art of Love

Dylan - 10 - Probably the best entry this round. It's very much a song about the fact that love won't ever be perfect, but they're both in it for the long run. Exactly what i wanted. So much better than last round. Just gotta make sure to keep the momentum going. Great choice Speezy. PS I miss Jordin.

Nicole - 9 - Probably the best pick out of all your entries so far this season, so good job! I sure miss Jordin making music. I'm sure you'd agree huh? Anyway, this song is very sweet. It obviously fits perfectly because it's about love conquering any mistakes that may be made in the relationship so be proud you were a standout this round.

Ethan - 10 - Maturity in a Jordin Sparks song — color me surprised! “It ain’t perfect but it’s worth it” fits the theme exactly. Great choice!

4. Element - Daughtry - Battleships

Dylan - 8 .5 - I love their first album to this day. I need to listen to the others one of these days. As for the song, it's probably your strongest round so far. They're going to fight for their love even when there's barriers. They're not just going to give up. They know what's real and what's not. Good choice Element.

Nicole - 8.5 - I really love Daughtry so it's cool that someone picked a song from them. This song is so infectious! Puzzling that they haven't tried to release it...they could possibly have another mainstream hit with it. Anyway, he is definitely singing about wanting to stop fighting and move on together in peace because he's in love. However, comparing their issues to war and all of that make me feel that the issues in the relationship aren't exactly small and forgettable but this is still a very solid entry.

Ethan - 10 - Even though this song makes me feel greasy, I think it fits really well, especially with lines like “even when the waves get rough, I don’t wanna see the day we say we’ve had enough.” Really great job!

5. -brian - Kelly Clarkson - My Life Would Suck Without You

Dylan - 8 - This is the exception to the "hate you love you" songs this round. They always run back to each other at the end of the day no matter how much they fight so you're hitting the theme there. But it doesn't seem like they necessarily fix the problems which is where it brings you down a bit. But they do know that they're right for eachother so in the end... good enough choice Brian.

Nicole - 10 - Yeah, this is my favorite entry this round! I can kinda relate to it at the moment lol. It's pretty much perfect in describing the type of relationship Dylan wanted these entries to represent. Fighting like cats and dogs but the next day coming right back to each other because you know that you don't wanna be with anyone else. And that was definitely the main theme of the song as well, which is an important factor in my scoring at least. Great job!

Ethan - 8 - To me, this song is right on the cusp of being perfect, but it misses the theme by a little. They have their bumps, but it doesn’t sound like she expects to fix the problems or hold on until they’re resolved, she just assumes they’ll always be there. It’s like a relationship between a drug addict and their drug.

6. Zune - Akon - Don't Matter

Dylan - 6.5 - I guess other people are trying to break them up so that's what you consider the little problems? I wish the problems were more internal. They don't seem to care about the other people so that's kinda irrelevant. I do see lyrics about Akon making mistakes that clearly his girlfriend forgave so they must really love each other. A few lyrics isn't enough though. There were better choices.

Nicole - 7 - There are a few lyrics that relate to him messing up in the past so we can assume his girl forgave him out of love but overall the song is more about not letting outside influences affect their relationship. If he went more into detail about what actually happened in their relationship it would have worked well but the way that it is now only a few lines really relate to what Dylan wanted so I will have to reflect that in my score.

Ethan - 4 - First of all, I hate Akon. Don’t send in Akon songs. Second of all, I think this really misses the theme because it’s about people outside of the relationship trying to bring them down. He does own up to some mistakes, but pretty much the entire song is about how people are always trying to break them up.

Tribe Uthando

1. Bey_Rihstan - Beyoncé - Flaws And All

Dylan - 8 - The different point of view is risky in my opinion and you can see that in Ethan's score... but you did offer something fresh that does overall fit into what I was asking, just in a different way. Bey has these inpeefections but her boo still loves her regardless. The little things don't matter in a sense. Good choice overall. Kinda a boring song though.

Nicole - 9 - This is the only song where the singer is singing about their imperfections in the relationship and how their partner loves them unconditionally regardless so it stands out in that way. It's like the theme in reverse (which is fine). This song is completely what we were looking for because she describes the bumps in the round that the relationship may encounter because of her but then the chorus goes right into how her man looks past all of that. So I do think you hit the nail on the head.

Ethan - 5 - lol @ Beyonce having flaws. This song doesn’t totally fit because, in addition to it being really one-sided, she’s also pretty much saying that she doesn’t intend to change. She’s just saying “this is how I am, and yet you still love me,” which doesn’t say a lot about knowing that in the long run, the relationship will be worth it for both of them.

2. Starmie - Jeremih - Break Up to Make Up

Dylan - 8.5 - This is a good choice Starmie. They fight and push each other away, but they can't stay away too long before they need one another. It's a true loving relationship if they can argue, but still need each other in the end. They struggle, but the relationship is triumphant overall. Nice job.

Nicole - 8.5 - Out of your fellow tribe members, this entry stood out the least to me but nonetheless it's still a good entry. Glad to see that the Uthando tribe is bringing it right now.

Ethan - 8 - What is this trash?! Mrs. Butterworth?! I guess it fits just fine, he’s saying that they fight and yet he knows they’ll get back together and it will turn out alright. Weird choice though

3. rl231 - John Legend - Ordinary People

Dylan - 9 - One of the best this round. The relationship has problems, but he's willing to overlook them because he loves this girl. Definitely captures the theme as a whole so good job rl. You're doing a good job here.

Nicole - 9.5 - Another one that I really liked a lot. The lyrics to this song are just very realistic. I think it captures the confusion and chaos that you can feel when there are issues that you just wish you could move on from in a relationship.

Ethan - 6 - This one misses the bar for me because he isn’t sure where the relationship is going, he says that they fight and get over it but that he doesn’t know what’ll happen in the future. It’s supposed to be saying that they know in the long run, all the fighting will be worth it. Parts of it fit the theme, but overall it’s not what the song is supposed to be about.

4. NEZ LUNAR - Boys II Men - You're the Reason

Dylan - 10 - Probably the best song lyrically this round. It's literally exactly what I wanted. The chorus alone is 10 worthy. The song is whatever but the slayage the lyrics deliver make up for that 100%. Way to rebound mr nez.

Nicole - 10 - Well again, glad to see Uthando is coming in strong this time and isn't being affected negatively by Cupid quitting. Also, nice to see you come back from the bad round that you had last time. I'm always mentioning lyrics and here again I will because I think what makes a song to 10 is not only it fitting the theme but also the lyrics describing the theme in the best way. And this song does just that so a nice unexpected choice.

Ethan - 10 - “Even though we argue, fuss, and fight […] you’re the reason why I breathe,” this song was made for this round! Awesome job.

Your new round will be coming. I have a little game changer to announce before we get started on Round 6 though. We currently have 16 castaways left on the island. Abantu has shared an impressive triumph over the other tribes despite their fall last round. Jikelele has maintained their 2nd place stance well. Then we have Uthando who has only 4 members left and hasn't been the luckiest throughout the game as we all know. 16 divided by 2 is 8. Do you see where I'm getting at?

Yes, we are merging into two separate tribes for the next 4 rounds until we Merge at the Top 12. 4 rounds doesn't seem like much... but a lot can happen in 4 rounds so don't feel like you're safe just yet.

I'm not going to bother my graphics creator Four with 2 new tribe flags since they will only be in tact for 4 rounds. So... we're just going to use Abantu & Jikelele for the meantime. That means we bid farewell to Uthando for good. However, at least they went out on a high note with their win last round.
