No, the fans lied. All the upper level was empty, everyone was on the lower one, and only half of the GA were available.

The organizers lied. Common practice here tbh.

Numbers are a little weird for tickets available per show, especially Dubai and Greece since I thought it would have been much higher but overall the tour is doing really well.
Hopefully the rest of Europe will bring up that tour gross, shows like London and Paris probably will. I imagine they have a slightly higher ticket price because of the location.

Why would they lie if they release the number after ?
No. The fans invented everything. Promoters can't leak ticket sales before the show, they're defended to do that.

In Greece, the organisers lied. They claimed that the concert would be sold out . The promo in Greece was the biggest promo ever done for a concert in Greece by a foreign artist. As it seems, the organizers lied, because the concert sold 27.000 tickets.

I think that my fellow Greek little monster can confirm this. TV ads, newspapers, public transportation ads, Greek Spotify promo. It was the biggest one. I live in Greece and I absolutely felt this.

And the show was sold out, which means only 27,000 went for sales. Which means all the tickets have been bought. And don't start with the "Billboard is covering her" because, if you check the list, there's a show that is not reported as sold out. In facts, it was reported as 79% sold out.
If the Greek show wasn't sold out, it wouldn't be reported as sold out. That's as simple as that, wether you like it or not.

When an arena capacity for concerts is 30,000, it means that 30,000 tickets will be available. Do you think that artrave's available tickets in some arenas were 9,858 or 11,748 or 26,860 No. Live Nation reports 95% of Gaga's concert sold out, even though they were far from being sold out. Look at Oslo. Arena's capacity: 23.000. Tickets sold: less than 9,000. Status: sold out. Look at Athens. The company which brought Gaga in Greece said to monsters before the show that the concert is sold out. It wasn't. Or at least, it was in the papers. More than 40,000 seats were empty.

there wasnt 40.000 unsold tickets! they never put up on sale the upper sections of the stadium! They got them on the map because it was on plan that if it will sell out at least some months before the show they would put on sale the upper sections so the capacity of the show was 25.000 minimum to 35.000 maximum so its a sold out! and they never said that the upper sections arent on sale really so the fans and myself too including couldnt know that it would be like that! the next day of the show they did an intervie on a radio station and they said that they picked the olympic stadium because the other choice would have been karaiskakis stadium with a maximum 35.000 capacity for the concert and they didnt know how many will purchase tickets so they had to make a choice that would have been possible to upgrade its capacity + plus they said that they were happy with the maximum capacity of the show at 35.000 bacause it was a pop show and in greece basically they are here more into rock shows and we are into a huge ecomomic crisis so its ok! i heard from insiders that coldplay might touring next summer in europe so if its true thay will try to bring them here and yeah its gonna be a huge success but they are ok with gaga!

I don't get why people don't understand this - they allocate tickets and base sold-out percents based on those. It's how virtually every major tour works. It's not based on every single seat that might be in an arena/stadium.

Thank you, Rusty.
I understand why you think that, but you need to understand we don't care about the normal capacity. Why do you think there are different numbers for some shows in the same place ?
If my memory works fine,
Stade De France (around 90K):
Rihanna : 70k, sold out.
Gaga : 65K sold out.
Madonna : 60K sold out.
One Direction: 55k sold out.
If LiveNation sells 55k, then it's sold out, even if the capacity is 90k. That's how it works. That's how it works for everyone.

True..
But why book the biggest arena in Norway if you were indeed only making 9k tickets for sale?

They were probably anticipating more tickets sold, but when they put the first ones on there was no need to sell anymore.

I'm sorry, but it just doesn't work like that.
First of all, Stade de France has a maximum capacity of 76-78k in a end-stage configuration.
Rihanna performed for 76k, it was sold-out (or almost if we count last minute tickets). Gaga was near to sold-out, she sold 71k tickets and her capacity was 75-76k according to the promoters. Madonna sold 62k and 1D 57k (x2). Both acts didn't sold-out the stadium. So... That's not how it works. This is just business, they report shows as sold-out even if they weren't...
Same thing for Oslo, the show wasn't sold-out. A lot of tickets were still available the day of show, so it means that there were obviously more than 9k available.

All the shows mentioned were sold-out. Even Madonna's and One Direction's.
And you can't possibility know how any tickets were left hours before the show. You can't generally buy them on the Internet and have to buy them in person. Which means there's NO WAY you can know how many are left, which could totally mean enough people bought tickets the day of the show for the show to be sold out.
And yes, that's how it works. It has been explained many times, it will still be explained the same way, even if you don't want to believe it, that's the way it works.

Didn't she perform there before their economy went down the toilet though?

why do people here think that capacity on wikipedia = how many tickets will be available? Jesus, i'm not even much of a gaga stan, but some people are so sad the way they choose to perch in this thread 24/7 just so they can "draggg" an artist who's richer/more successful than them like go outside or something.
