You know, her struggle made me appreciate her more. I prayed she would overcome her inner demons, but her interpersonal battles gave us musical gems. I appreciated the God-given talent laced with raw emotion. We connected with Amy. She further proves that at the end of the day these celebrities are only human and they too are just trying to make it, trying to get the best out of life before it gets the best of them. She was only 27. I'm glad she got a taste of her dreams, but it's sad that she didn't get to relish in them wholeheartedly. She sang from her soul and painted her life and it's struggles with musical notes. Amy kept it real. She could've easily did what some of these popstars are doing today, but instead she used her canvas to paint something with meaning. I appreciate the hell out of that. It's so funny how we take our greatest gifts for granted and we never realize how precious and rare they are until they are gone.
Amy Winehouse was a diamond in the rough. I don't appreciate the negative comments that have been made about her death. Many people don't realize that addiction is a serious disease. There's nothing funny about it. It's easy for us, standing on the outside looking in, to say 'just say no', but it's more complicated than that. Addictions consume your entire life. There are psychological and even physical reasons to why a person can't just stop. I don't care whether it's alcohol, coke, crack, or even food, it's so much easier said than done. I feel for her and for the battle against addiction. I lost a dad to alcoholism. It's painful watching someone waste their precious life away when they have so much potential to be more than that.
Gone far too soon, that's honor her, her craft, and what she has given culture and the history of music.

Amy Winehouse Singles: 1,800% Sales Gain Projected for This Week's Chart
July 25, 2011
By Keith Caufield and Gary Trust
In the wake of Amy Winehouse's death on Saturday, the singer's breakthrough album, "Back to Black," as well as a number of her singles, are staging a return to the Billboard charts this week.
Amy Winehouse's 'Back to Black' Projected To Re-Enter Top 20 on Billboard 200
At press time, industry sources suggested that of all her songs, "Rehab" sold the most during the week that ended Sunday night (July 24) -- a survey period that closed approximately 36 hours after news of her death broke -- with sales estimates for it around 30,000 downloads. That may be enough for the song to re-enter the Digital Songs chart. We'll know for sure on Wednesday when SoundScan's sales data is released.
Her next biggest sellers look to be "You Know I'm No Good" (around 15,000), "Back to Black" (over 10,000), "Valerie" (10,000) and "Tears Dry On Their Own" (possibly 5,000).
Amy Winehouse's Billboard U.S. Chart History
Combined, all of her available songs last week sold an estimated 100,000 downloads. If that number holds, it will represent a whopping 1,800% gain from what her songs sold the week previous: 5,000 according to SoundScan.
"Rehab" is her biggest U.S. hit, having climbed to No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and earning the singer Grammys for record and song of the year, as well as best female pop vocal performance.
The video for "Rehab" also saw a major jump in plays on both YouTube and Vevo following the news of her passing. Since Saturday, the clip has clocked more than 4 million views on the video-sharing sites. That sum accounts for nearly half of its overall 8 million total views.
Amy Winehouse's U.K. Sales Soar
In the days leading up to her death, the artist's collected videos averaged 48,000 plays a day on VEVO. On Saturday July 5, she gained over 5.7 million plays, according to data-analyics firm Next Big Sound.
Radio airplay for "Rehab" has additionally surged. On Saturday it received 173 plays on 119 stations (of the more than 1,200 stations monitored for the Billboard Hot 100), according to Nielsen BDS. The spins translated to a one-day audience of 1.4 million, with pop, AC, alternative, triple A and R&B formats all playing the song.
How much was airplay up for "Rehab" Saturday? By comparison, on Friday, it had been played a mere five times on a total of five stations, a single-digit sum in line with its recent airplay.
After Saturday's spike, airplay for "Rehab" was back down sharply yesterday (although still significantly higher than before her death) to 38 plays on 30 stations, which amounted to 171,000 in audience.
The charts will continue to feel the impact of her passing next week - once a full week's worth of sales, radio airplay and streaming data have been registered.
I seriously adored her music, i can't say i didn't see this coming, no one can say they didn't. But i did want more music, or at least a tour, a good tour, i wanted to see her live... She will forever remain one of my favorite vocalists and Back To Black one of my favorite albums of all time. She was truly gifted. It's sad she did what she did.
Today I was wandering the mall and visited every CD shop it got and B2B has been sold out everywhere. And they all said that all of the cds went straight away after the day she died. And they have ordered a lot more to sell. Anyone thinking it would get back on top ?
