Lucy Hale Dishes on the PLL Finale and Her Fashion Must-Haves!
Pretty Little Liar Lucy Hale hosted a drive-in night with Bongo for fans last week - in between scooping popcorn for hungry teens and working the cotton candy machine, she managed to answer Seventeen's questions about Halloween and the Summer Finale:
"My favorite episode in the upcoming season is the Halloween episode that will air in October. It’s pretty crazy and a lot of stuff goes down." As for the Finale, "it’s a huge episode, but I think you might know by now Mona our original A has been working with someone else and you will find out who that person is.."
Teen.com: Janel Parrish Speaks About Mona's Journey and the A-Team
Check out this Teen.com interview with Janel Parrish, who talks about Mona, the "A" team and S3 spoilers! It turns out she has no problem playing a mental patient! Since the Radley set is so realistic, and the authenticity that her physical appearance plays, "it's really not too hard to get into that mindset when you're surrounded by all these weird, creepy things."
And If you're wondering whether Mona will ever return to the good side, all we get is, "that is a good question for Season 3, you will see.." But as for Season 3 spoilers - "I can tell you that in the [Summer Finale] you will find out who killed Maya, and it's going to be a big shocker.."
Brendan Robinson Talks Betrayal on Pretty Little Liars!
ClevverTV caught up with Brendan Robinson (Lucas) at the Do Something Awards, to chat about the Summer Finale and #TheBetrAyal "with a capital A"!
"It's going to be very shocking," Brendan claims, "it's going to really stir things up, it's going to propel the storyline full-force into the second-half of the season."
So when are we going to see the elusive Lucas again, anyway? "We're going to be seeing more of Lucas, starting with the Halloween episode, and it's going to be interesting..!"
And what are his A-theories..? Well, he agrees that there has to be more than A, declaring that Mona couldn't possibly be doing everything by herself, "you're going to learn more about Lucas' involvement with the whole thing.." Intriguing!
TVFanatic.com chatted up Brant Daugherty this week, where he opens up about Noel’s part in the “A” drama, and reveals a few clues about Maya’s final days.
First off, why is Noel so antagonistic towards the Liars? Well, it turns out that Noel feels "betrayed" by Aria - she basically chose Ezra over him "and got him suspended and that gives him a pretty strong motive to get back at her. He has a grudge with the Liars."
“Be on the lookout for Noel, " Brant warns. "He’s got a couple tricks up his sleeve.”
Do you think Noel knew Maya was staying in his family’s cabin?
Yes, I don’t think there’s any way he didn’t know she was there considering that Noel and Eric use it as their party house. He clearly knew the house had a secret room and supposedly sent Spencer the video from the camera outside, so I think it’s safe to say he knew she was there.
How well do you think Noel knew Maya?
They knew each other better than we thought. They had more interaction than we’ve seen so far. Really all we’ve seen of them is last season when Noel helps her out with her phone briefly, but he was letting her stay at the cabin and did certainly have that video of her being attacked, so I think there’s more to that relationship.
What do you think the odds are of Noel being one of the As?
Well, that’s the big question, isn’t it? There’s enough evidence to go either way at this point. Now we know he didn’t kill Maya, but he also has a grudge with the liars and kind of a tendency to show up at suspicious times, which I would say is a red flag.
How do you feel playing a character so high on the A list?
Hearing the theories from the fans from who may or may not be on the A list, and being able to be a part of the theories and to know that your character is having an effect on the audience…that’s the goal. It’s very rewarding. I love hearing it.
Could Aria’s rejection have anything to do with Noel’s A list candidacy?
I will say this: when Noel first finds out about Aria and Ezra, he thinks that she’s being taken advantage of. But when he realizes that Aria is actually choosing Ezra over him, that’s gotta have a profound effect on Noel. He’s betrayed and you add in the fact that Aria got Noel suspended and that gives him a pretty strong motive to get back at her.
Could Noel’s rejection have anything to do with Mona’s?
That’s a little trickier. I think Mona had her own motivations to be A. I do think that Noel really hurt her and their breakup gave her the push to take action at the end of season two, but I think she had a separate reason to do what she did.
What drew Noel to Jenna?
Noel’s always had a thing for Jenna. If you watch last year’s Halloween episode, he makes a bee line to her and hits on her as soon as she shows up at the party. They both have problems with the girls nowadays, the liars, and I think in part bonded over their mutual anger. That’s not to say they’re only together solely to get revenge, but there’s definitely something there between them.
Is there anything else you would like viewers to be on the lookout for with regard to Noel?
He was always such a loyal character in season one, and we really don’t know where his allegiances lie at this point. It’s so much fun playing a mysterious character and I’m so happy the audience is reacting to it, I just can’t wait to keep exploring it and I hope the audience is there with me. I will also say we are doing a supplementary Web series.
It just started shooting, and it takes place in the events during our summer finale and the Halloween episode so it’s kind of supplementary information on our characters that will get you up to speed for when our Halloween episode debuts. It’s fantastic. They’re little short, dramatic teases that are very well written and I’m thrilled to be a part of it.
Can you give us anything to forward to for the return of Pretty Little Liars Season 3?
Be on the lookout for Noel. That’s all I’ll say for now. He’s got a couple tricks up his sleeve. I can’t give too much away yet!
‘Pretty Little Liars’: Who Killed Maya? Bianca Lawson Weighs In
Bianca gives HollywoodLife.com the scoop on her character’s killer, her thoughts on Emily & Paige, and the one Maya video we haven’t seen — yet! Emayans will finally get some justice when Maya’s killer is revealed on the Aug. 28 summer finale of Pretty Little Liars, so I decided to bust out my Ouija board and have a little chat with the dearly departed herself. Even though Bianca Lawson said she’s being kept in the dark just as much as we are, she was able to shed some light on a few of Rosewood’s most closely guarded secrets. And here’s some more good news: We haven’t seen the last of her!
The last time we talked, Maya was alive — and now she’s not. I feel like a lot of your TV characters die, or in some cases, start off already dead.
I know, right? It’s really weird. I wonder what that means. … Maybe I’m working something out from a past life.
But even when your characters die, they’re still very much a part of the story.
Yes, my memory stays alive!
What was your reaction when you first found out Maya was going to die?
I wasn’t exactly told. I didn’t get the ‘this is your fate’ phone call, so even I was like, ‘Oh, maybe she’s dead.’ There were rumors going around that someone was going to die, but there wasn’t an official call.
I know you can’t tell me who killed her, but … actually, do YOU even know?
Well… I shot everything, even the surveillance footage, in one little afternoon. So I got my sections of the script, and I remember reading something about someone being accused of killing Maya. I said to somebody on set, ‘Oh, so this is who killed Maya?’ And their response was, ‘As of right now…’ So I don’t actually know, but people ask me all the time, and I’m just like, ‘Dude, I don’t know.’ I’ll literally go into auditions for parts, and after I do my audition for big-time execs, they’ll say, ‘One more thing: Are you really dead on Pretty Little Liars? … And if you are, who killed you?’
So as of right now, you think you know who killed Maya. What was your reaction when you learned who that was? Honestly, I was pretty shocked. The whole finale is shocking. Well, I love the little videos Maya recorded for Emily.
What was it like shooting those?
I knew I put these things on a website to document my life, but I never shot a death scene. Shooting the videos was really sweet. It was intimate and fun. I wasn’t acting with anyone else, I was just doing little vlogs, so it was nice. I had one of the writers there with me to figure out what I should be conveying, and what Maya was referring to. The writer knew what was coming up in a few episodes, but I didn’t know.
Did you film anything we haven’t seen yet?
I think there’s one more video message that I believe will be on the finale.
Real talk: It didn’t take long after Maya died for Emily to hop back into a relationship with the crazy girl who tried to drown her. How do you feel about Emily and Paige dating?
Well, Emily’s life does have to go on. She does have to find love and all of that. I don’t know too much about Paige, but I want Emily to be happy. So she should be with whoever makes her happy.
Wow they totally made up for last seasons dissapointed. I was so dissapointed through the episode until the last two minutes. I'm still in shock. Can't breathe.
I honestly thought Spencer and Aria would more likely have been the BetrAyer over this person.
