Wow, I'm a bit less excited for the games after this announcement (still excited though). Seriously, what the hell are these MegaForms? Imma need a bit more information about this cause it's just messy and I'm not here for them ruining this amazing franchise with some kind of Digimon-evolutions. If these messes get their own Pokédex entries. Would that be like 4-stage-evolutions? Bye. Also only three new Pokémon? Is this really the scoop of the century?

They are basically just in-battle forms.
For example without a specific Item Blaziken will stay Blaziken but with the item Blaziken chenge its form for (un)limited time

I'm not going to call it unnecessary because imo Pokémon, just like any other game, needs to keep doing new things. But this is a bit foreign. I don't know I want to see how it works in practice; I'd much rather these forms be permanent evolutions rather than in-battle forms, but like I said I want to see it in practice.

Ampharos' weave though, omg.

I like Blaziken and Mawile's forms the best. Lucario looks a bit superheroish and Absol is giving me raging demon/angel lesbian teas, I agree.

Some things to point out before the girls come in here seething with rage:

- We know like nothing about these Mega-forms, so stop the rage.
- Mega is only a term used in the Digimon DUB as the Japanese use Ultimate. So stop with the Digimon comparisons.
- These are forme changes, FORME CHANGES HAVE BEEN AROUND SINCE GEN III STAHP.
- Ampharos Japanese name literally means Electric Dragon. So there you go.
- Maybe Ampharos was born with it, maybe its mega-evolution.
- These forms are NOT permanent and are NOT forced to be used.
- Mega is as of right now a rough translation, and may not be the final name.
- Pokemon X&Y changing the game play forever, when will your faves?

!! Yeah I hope mega is only the working/translated title. It's kind of lame. I'd much prefer "awakened" or something, even though that's kind of tryhard. Mega just seems too closely associated with Digimon, but whatever.

And yeah I was going to point out the Ampharos name thing too. Let's just calm our **** and see what happens on Smash.
