I actually think it's a good change, that section was so dead lately but the "View All ATRL Blogs" is not the clearest one...
With a few changes to it, it could be a great change IMO.

I'm indifferent to the change. It works but I don't think it will attract additional people to the blogs though.

the ads are annoying and they slow the site down how can i remove them ?
