the bolded should definitely have been out a long time ago...
Hm, I really like Mercy!
But seriously, Love Is a Losing Game in the Top 15?
In fact I wouldn't be bothered if all the non-You Know I'm No Good Amy singles left by now. Or Cosmic Love. Or RITD.

Love is a Losing Game, the final and in some cases final single from Back to Black, was one of the first songs written for the album. It appears in demo form here. She had written it after her then boyfriend Blake Civil-Fielder broke up with her and went back to her ex, channeling her raw emotions into something beautiful.

Although not immediately successful, it won the Ivor Novello award in 2008 for Best Song Musically and Lyrically. It was also the song she chose to perform at the 2007 Mercury Awards, as evidenced by this stunning performance:
Fun Fact: Cambridge U students used this song, as well as songs by Bob Dylan and Billie Holiday and poems by Sir Walter Raleigh in end of year examinations.
Before I post this, here's Mark Ronson's recollection of Amy's reaction to the initial mixing of Love is a Losing Game (whoo, long sentence there.)

She had her head down on the mixing board, so I couldn't gauge her reaction. I'm freaking out, thinking, If she doesn't like it, we'ew pretty ****ed. At the end of it she looks up and walks over, extends her arms and gives me a huge hug. 'I love it. Just take the harp off after the second verse. It sounds like some Mariah Carey ********.' It's emblematic of this thing about Amy. She can cut you down to size in two seconds flat.
