Here's how immunity works. I'll use posh as an example because I like him more than the other immune contestants for absolutely no reason.
posh has immunity for round 2. That means that he cannot be eliminated no matter what his round 2 score is, but he still has to submit, otherwise there will be a penalty. When he submits, he will still be scored and ranked like everyone else, so he can flop or get a second consecutive immunity, anything could happen. The only thing that can't happen is him getting eliminated in round 2.
As far as fairness goes, immunities are a way to reward the contestants who slayed lives in each round. They deserve a reward, so immunities are fair play and a part of many games, including previous seasons of PH.

I made a Google Docs for this weeks chart placements. Next week, it will be color coded, where green will be improved placement, red will be falling placement, and yellow will be same placement. I doubt anyone will be yellow, but who knows.
