Do you know how the hot 100 worked back then? 75% airplay 25% single sales.
None of the songs had physical CD sales and clear channel limited her airplay mainly to the evening because she chose to not use their sponsor for Dream within a dream. This was lifted right before Toxic (thankfully)
Slave remains legendary
Not a girl remains a cult classic
Overprotected remains a slept on gem which is referenced and sampled still.
This is what happens when people stan Britney for her EDM era.
The good stuff was between eras 2-4. What a time to be a teen.
