And I agree, Applause didn't have to deal with such BIG songs as Wrecking Ball, Roar, Royals and now: Dark Horse. What matters is the absolute numbers, doesn't matter if you are #2 or #1.

Meh. It's probably already sold something like 150-160k. As it was said in the quote by NLF regardless of the positions, it remains in the realms of songs selling daily to reach 280-350k. If we go back to 4% drops then yeah she'll struggle.

That's the difference.

Gaga only managed to get 45-50 out of 100 of Roar's sales while Britney is still getting 80 out of 100 of WB's sales. She never reached as far as Work Bitch.

Britney has bigger competition right now, Wrecking Ball is set to get its biggest week-sales ever while Roar still gets over 300K downloads not to mention Royals is also shaping up for its biggest sales week so far. Also, Katy, the biggest pop star right now, just released her promo single which will eventually surpass Work Bitch but would probably free fall the next few days. The competition is pretty tight and for Britney to grope and stabilize a bit is good. I hope it stabilizes though. I really do.
