I agree that she's probably not on that Orlando song intentionally. Keep her comeback purer.

I'm not worried about LG5's campaign. She seems far more confident and comfortable with her life and career now. ARTPOP detailed because she was neither of those things. She was annoyed, volatile and defiant following the reaction of BTW. You can make far crappier music more successful, so I don't think blaming the material is quite right.

I don't expect meltdowns from her now. She's expanded her career so it's no longer riding on a hit single, and her personal life has grounded her with perspective. Katy can win. I don't imagine she'll be attacked as much for "losing" if the music is a clear personal direction and she delivers it with confidence. People won't be expecting it to smash thanks to ARTPOP, and if she showcases her talent then it reminds us of her Oscar performances/C2C success etc. which acts as a barrier (or at least caviat) to critism. Much like Beyoncé enjoys. You can slag off her sales and chart positions but you have to acknowledge she's more than that.

All the quietness surrounding this campaign is a good sign, to be honest. The worst that could happen is she commercially flops but I truly feel like at least we will have good material and potentially a good era of videos to enjoy.

lg5 will not be about smashing (if it does yay). it will be about gaga as an artist.

Gaga has never been a fan of charity singles, and for good reason. She probably figured it would come off opportunistic to release any kind of music after being such an outspoken voice for the victims.

Gaga's speech in LA for the Pulse victims got a lot of positive press and gave a good amount of exposure to the tragedy. She has done enough. She doesn't need to be on a $1.29 single that is barely going to generate thousands in revenue after costs and will be forgotten in three days.
