Honestly, yeah she sings mostly about relationships, but that doesnt mean that you cant personally apply a song to a non romantic relationship in your life. Cold as you could totally be about a friend who you always were there for but they were never there for you. Tim mcgraw could easily be about your friend or even your mom that you're gonna miss when you go away to college. All too well could be about remembering a friend you lost.
