Promo was on point, album was trendy and radio-ready, millions were spent to get the era off the ground properly (scrapped lead singles, scrapped multimillion dollar videos) and it has only sold 120K. False. Lucky Star and Borderline both went top ten. Holiday peaked at 16 (I think) though it is by far the most iconic sing from her debut aka one of the best dance-pop albums of all time
That's not even including label/retailer/songwriters/producers cuts, so yeah most likely they barely made anything
no wonder why their tour is so lengthy
