Britney never stole writing credits until BJ, and that's because her management did. In some of her 2013 interviews, she basically admitted she didn't write some of the songs.

Katy isn't taken seriously. Rihanna isn't taken seriously. A few co-writing credits and "overseeing" which songs that were created by others make it on to your album doesn't equal credibility.
