Watched "Annabelle" last night and it was so generic, like even more generic than I had predicted it would be before going into it. They took so much inspiration from Rosemary's Baby and a few other classic films, I felt like I was watching a Scary Movie without any humour. The ending was kind of good/sad, I guess. When the woman
started smashing the doll against the crib, threw it and then saw it was the baby
I literally gasped.
The
elevator scene
was really well down and ****ed up, though - easily the best part of the film! Had me scared to go downstairs in the dark afterwards.
but yeah, it was pretty generic overall. I won't watch it again.
The first is the best.
glad to have old school horror to help me through this drought.
