Like people have said the world will keep turning if she doesn't hit #1, but it would be really nice for her to hit it. She deserves it with her best album by far.
Obviously charts aren't that crucial to my life. Im a 20 year old college student with a full time job. But there's nothing wrong with me wanting to see a high quality body of work be rewarded. The same way I turn in assignments, essays, and exams for good grades in school, artists release albums to be met with critical and commercial success. So far, Ariana has locked down the critical success: I'd like to see her lock down the commercial success as well. If she gets #2 or even #3 obviously the world keeps revolving anyways, but it'll be a shame and I'll be upset.
If it makes you upset then charts ARE crucial to your life. And mess at you being in college and still so worried about an album position. Just chill, Ariana is still making millions out of all this lol.
They had no predicitions for his sales until he reported numbers for them because they have no way to track website sales.
Unless Ariana reported her website sales updates throughout the week (which is possible), I expect her to get anywhere from 5-35k as an extra boost from her site.

Republic’s Ariana Grande and labelmate Drake remain neck-and-neck for the #1 spot on the HITS SPS chart, with Drake currently holding a lead of a mere 2k. With this tight a margin, we’re re-crunching all the numbers before posting final stats. We say this often, but it’s now more true than ever—this puppy is too close to call. Warner Music Nashville’s Blake Shelton, meanwhile, looks set to prevail on the album side. Here’s how it looks as the finish line approaches.
Drake (YMCMB/Republic) 178k SPS / 50k albums
Ariana Grande (Republic) 176k SPS / 131k albums
Blake Shelton (Warner Music Nashville) 166k SPS /152k albums
