Jessica and Ashlee Simpson to launch baby, maternity line; Celeb sisters celebrate launch of Jessica Simpson Girls

Jessica Simpson liked collaborating with her sister Ashlee so much on a line of girls’ clothing, they’re moving on to maternity and baby wear.

Interestingly, it wasn’t either one of the singing and acting sisters’ ideas to work together -- it was their mom’s suggestion.

“My mother thought it would be great to combine both of our styles, both of our personalities,” Jessica Simpson told Fashionista at a launch party their tween and teen line at Dylan’s Candy Bar in New York City. “But it feels like we always work together!”

Back in June, when the news was announced that the sisters would be teaming up to work on Jessica Simpson Girls, Jessica told Women’s Wear Daily that she thought her’s sister’s rock n’ roll, bohemian look would be perfect for younger shoppers.

“I’m more of like your all-American girl. I’m pretty classic, I’m pretty easy going,” she told Fashionista. “ Combining the two is always fun. But I am the person that does like to wear something simple and throw a crazy accessory with it.”

Simpson knows a few things about accessories.

The singer and actress turned mogul now sells everything from shoes, to handbags, to diamonds to luggage.

She said the line of maternity and baby clothes would hit shelves in February.

Jessica Simpson and her sister Ashlee attend an event for their new tween fashion line, Jessica Simpson Girls, on Saturday (December 3) at The Bay in Toronto, Canada.

The 31-year-old entertainer showed off her growing baby bump at the event, where she was joined by her fiance Eric Johnson.

Ashlee brought along her adorable son Bronx, who sat on her lap while she met fans and signed autographs.

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz are officially divorced, 10 months after their shocking split, E! News confirmed Wednesday.

According to court records , a judge signed off on the split Nov. 22, as did the ex-couple. No other details are being released regarding their financial or custody situations, including the specifics of their 103-page settlement agreement, so we can only wonder...

What about Bronx Mowgli?!

In her February divorce filing, Simpson initially asked for primary custody of their now-3-year-old son, while Wentz responded by requesting joint custody.

But since we haven't heard any tales of the pair contentiously battling it out or pointing fingers, it would seem that Simpson and Wentz have worked out their differences and all is quiet on the Bronx front.

Over the last few months, Wentz has been spotted out and about with model Meagan Camper, while Simpson is prominently dating Boardwalk Empire actor Vincent Piazza.

Mommy dearest? Ashlee Simpson, 27, is seething because her son Bronx, 3, has bonded in a big way with ex-husband Pete Wentz's new flame, model Meagan Camper.

In early December, "It all came to a head when Bronx kept saying 'me-ma' whenever Ashlee referred to Daddy's girlfriend," says source.

"It didn't sound as if he knows Meagan by any other name than that. Ashlee was livid. She read Pete the riot act, saying he should limit Bronx's exposure to Meagan because she didn't want a revolving door of his girlfriends in her son's life."

The Fall Out Boy bassist, 32, sharply pointed out that Ashlee is shacking up with her beau, Boardwalk Empire's Vincent Piazza, in her L.A. home, as Star revealed — and insisted that his romance with Meagan is the real deal.
