Popjustice interviews Lena
Who inspired your upcoming album?
Lately, I've been listening to a lot of music by Danish singer and songwriter Oh Land, who has also helped me out with most of the songs on the album, she wrote a lot of songs, and she is also featured on one of those songs, called Out Of The Woods. She is really an amazing singer and a really inspiring person. Also, Sia, Florence and the Machine, Foster the People, The Feist, Bastille, and other cool names in the indie music industry at the moment.
Your album - is it a pop album?
No, no no no, not at all. I wanted to make a pure indie album, and I did it. It's an indie album, but there are some experimental songs, for example like Out Of The Woods, it's more indietronica, there is some kind of eletronic sound, but it's still indie, alternative. There's some folkish sound too, because where I came from, folk music is really popular, and I literally grew up listening to it, so there will be some folkish kind of influenced songs too. But the album will be labeled as an alternative and indie.
What do you miss mostly about your native country?
I would say my family, because I haven't seen them for a while now, and I miss the snow too, here, in New York City, it's a bit hard to have a snow fight because there's a lot of traffic and that snow becomes some kind of mess, and in my native country, especially in my village where I grew up, you can just stand in the field and everywhere you look - snow, snow, snow, maybe some village-y barns or something, but anywhere you look there is snow. So yeah.
What are you promo plans?
I think that I will focus on U.S. for sometime know, I want to see how my single does in here. If it'll smash, then I'll promote the single for one more week here and I'll hopefully move on to the other continent, which will probably be Europe, and to be honest, I can't wait to go back to Europe, because I'm kind of popular there, so I'm pretty sure my single will do well there. Then I'll go to Asia and then Australia, and after my single's promotion will be done I'll probably release my album.
When will you announce your album details?
Probably sometime soon. Now, I'm mainly focusing on the single, I want to have a hit before the album, and if In The Light won't smash, I will probably release one more single, because I want album to do well, but we will see how that turns out. I don't want to predict or say something that is not decided yet. But yeah, I'll be announcing the album title this week, I'll be hosting the Google Hangout, I'll perform some songs during the hangout, and I'll announce the title, cover, and also tracklist. I'm so excited!

Justin's 2014 studio album is gonna go so hard.
It'll be like his "Justified" / "FutureSex/LoveSounds" but in a very interesting way.

Selena Gomez 'Fool's Paradise' Album Commentary
1. Fool's Paradise
Fool's Paradise is the title track. Emile Haynie produced it. It's a really sunny beat that I just liked the sound of and thought served as a good intro. Inspired by Lana Del Rey's song Without You.
2. ****ed Up
This was my amaaazing lead single produced by Key Wane, Mike Dean & myself. Key & Mike brought the sample instrumental to me and I fell in love. I put a few touches on it and called Jhene & Sean, and we made it what it was haha.
3. Red Love
Red Love was probably the most emotional song on the record. It really took me too a place that I hadn't properly discussed before. The relationship I was singing about was a real roller coaster. I know it sounds cliche, but that's just how I feel about it. It was dreadful, but it was amazing. I have bad memories, but amazing ones. I really did fall in love. And Pia Mia just made it perfect.
4. The Ruins
The Ruins is one of my favorites. I was so excited to record with Adele. She's incredible. Our vibes just went together. At first, I was worried that we wouldn't mesh well, because our styles are so different. But when we got in that studio.... we just clicked.
5. Runnin' Blind
Ahhhh, Runnin' Blind is so beautiful. Elijah Blake is an amazing writer. I am a spiritual person. I like to meditate. I don't ever like to meditate to music, because I feel like it just doesn't work very well. But this is one of the few songs I really can just sail away too. Another one of my favorites.
6. Messy
Messy was written for my friend Ashley, Dwyane and a few other people. But mainly my fans. They really are the light of my life. They truly are "ride or die" as they like to call themselves. I am messy. I really do have my moments where I'm just the messiest person and the world and they don't care. They're just there for me. They're one of the best things to ever happen to me. I've cried to this one before Happy tears though!
7. Ashley
I have been though some dark ****. And a while ago, it was the worst it had ever been. But my friend Ashley was the person who literally sat though it ALL. She never judged. She never criticized. She just sat back and let me do what I felt what was best. If it worked out, she was happy for me. If it didn't, she just held my hand and told me it would be okay. And she just understands me. We all need that. The person who just gets us.
8. Glow
I looooovvveeee Glow. It's one of my cockier songs lol. It's about going out with your girls and being like "Yeah, we know we're the baddest girls in the club and we don't care how you feel about it." And the clappy kind of drum beat is SICKENING. The video's gonna be hot.
9. 3
It's about my baaaaaby Dwyane. It's basically just me talking about how great he is. I loved writing it because I love him and can talk about him all day. It's called 3 just because that's his jersey number, and he has 3 champion ship rings. Definitely one of my favorites.
10. Danseur Privé
Danseur Privé means private dancer in french lol. It's one of my sexier songs. I think French is such a pretty - or sexy - language so I loved incorporating it in my music. It basically says "I am YOUR private dancer, tell me what you want to see, what you wanna do. Cause we're getting it in tonight."
11. Adonis
I loved writing this song. The lyrics just flowed right out of my head. I didn't even write it. I just like sang it and wrote it as I went in the studio. It's just me praising the person I'm with, talking about how perfect and Adonis-like he is. "Striking." It's mainly about how fine he is
12. Vanilla
Vanilla is about my......... vanilla and how good it tastes. How it tastes like vanilla. I'll leave it at that.
13. Crown
I am a woman who loves herself. And I like to express that. A lot of people call me cocky but I think everyone has moments where they wanna be "God damn! Look at me! I. AM. THE. ****." I think it's healthy. I may get backlash for expressing it, but hey. I'm no stranger to backlash.
14. The Best
I'm a feminist. I really do think women are the best. I think we are amazing, and strong, and smart, and sexy, and perfect and their are so many of us. We're all so different. We all have different looks and different interests and strengths but that's what makes us so great. We're women. We're bad as hell. Just for being a woman and going through what we go. We're the MF'ing best.
15. Loose
There was this one weekend where I, Dwyane, Ashley, Lebron, Rihanna and a few other friends of mine got together and we went to The Bahamas and I genuinely had the greatest time of life. I felt so loose and free and happy and it was just perfect.
16. Look Up
One day, I realized that I was in such a good place. I have such a great life. I am surrounded by amazing people and making insane memories. This is kind of where the album title comes from. I know something can - and probably will - go wrong, but right now? Everything is GREAT and I am going to embrace it.

JUSTIN WORING ON NEW ALBUM
Justin went abroad Twitter, today to tweet -- "Just got on the studio and layed 3 tracks! Not finished but still hot!", then tweeted " 'BIEBS UP ALL ON THEY MUSIC LIKE A LEGEND", and finally tweeted "Worked with a LEGEND today! #TURNUP #TURNDOWN #TURNMEDOWN". Paparazzi who caught him leaving the studio, which was apparently in Las Vegas where he performed a charity concert the night before -- asked him about the album. He said "Not spilling anything, but it's amazing. As always, stay tuned" before getting into his 2014 Custom Made Lamborghini and driving off to a private location. Some paparazzi also speculated that Vanessa Hudgens was inside the car, but we don't know any truth to that with no pictures of her so far.

Justin does VEVO Performance, "This Christmas".
Justin & Vanessa striked the clock at midnight, and to surprise -- many fans with a VEVO performance of "This Christmas" done 100% acoustically. Justin did a little guitar playing, and Vanessa herself shocked with a little piano playing. They both strung out their hearts to the new single, and gave a cute performance that immediately trended and had the Globe throbbing in love with their cute seemed to be relationship. Nobody knows if anything is official - afterall, this could just be for a single, right? He did My Everything with Foxes, and they didn't date? I guess we'll soon see, especially with him recording new material on his forthcoming album. For now, you can buy "Christmas Weekend" in stores.

VEVO Go-Show: Lena
Lena just performed her latest single In The Light on The Standart hotel roof. It was little bit of an unexpected performance, because Lena just walked onto the roof and sat down with her guitarist and did an acoustic performance of In The Light. On the roof, besides her and her guitarist, there were about hundred other people, who were on the roof just in time to see Lena's VEVO Go-Show surprise performance. Four hours after Lena's performance, it got uploaded on Lena's VEVO channel, and in the first hour, it got 200,000 views and about 4,000 likes. Also, depending on the comments that were posted, everyone seemed to be amazed by how good Lena's voice is and how amazing sounds In The Light acousticly. Some of the comments were saying that Lena should release an acoustic album, or at least an EP, because her voice is created for unplugged and acoustic performances.

dd;; if this was ATRL the threads would be
"Is Selena gonna comeback this era?"
"Is Lena gonna smash?"
"Is Justin gonna finally flop next era?"
"Predict Fool's Paradise Opening Week"
"Is Kelly gonna have another hit this era"
"Is Britney gonna fade?"
I also predict a 230-300k opening for Fool's Paradise.
