Since the age of globalization is upon us, do you see Billboard eventually tracking and charting the music related data of countries other than the US?

Do you browse any other threads on atrl? I think we'd like to see you post in them.

I was really rooting for Nelly Furtado with her last album The Spirit Indestructible. I was expecting Big Hoops to smash after a really successful English album in 2006, and a performance at the Billboard Music Awards. A few pop stations played it for a day. Clearly, a lot of people were here for a comeback and were rooting for her, but I'm assuming negative reaction to the song ruined her chance at a comeback.
My question is, do you think Nelly Furtado can still find success, or did her break between English albums and the underperformance of Big Hoops ruin her longterm?

I would like to know your answer to this question too, Bill.
Also, do you think it's possible that Interscope might have got back at Nelly for taking such a long break by not giving her a lot of exposure at all? Her album had no exposure on the iTunes store on its release week for example. Do you think labels sometimes act like that? Some artists have notoriously claimed to be left in the dust by their label.

Bill, could you tell me why Natalia Kills has never properly charted on the hot 100 and do you think her new album "Trouble" would make it high on the Billboard 200. Also, do you like Natalia Kills?

Bill,
I study statistics at UC Berkeley, and I am only enduring this torture so that I can work for Billboard. It's a tough program, however, it has taught me to be resilient, and I keep my eyes focused on Billboard. I will not lie, my strengths actually lie in writing, albeit I am decent in math. What internships/clubs would prepare me to work for Billboard in any capacity?
Regards,
David
P.S. I am awesome and a seasoned raver like yourself

Hi Bill,
Do you think Shakira can have a another big hit like Hips Dont Lie in the US? And do you know anything about her new album; release date, lead single etc.? And what's your favorite Shakira song?

I really like this question. I have the same concerns for No Doubt and their relationship with Interscope.

Hello again, Bill!
I actually have a question now: do you have any idea how iTunes counts gifted copies of singles and albums? I mean, if I buy one copy of a certain song for me, and gift the same song to, let's say, 3 other people, does it count as 4 different copies or just 1? That said, do you guys at Billboard just use iTunes numbers or do you have your own? Thanks in advance!

@Bill
I know you're a big Grammy prognosticator. Do you think "Blurred Lines" has a chance to win Song of the Year? The more I think about it, the more I think it's a possibility. I want to get Paul Grein's and Tom O'Neil's thoughts on it, too.

Hey Bill! First of all, love you! Second, are you as ready for Hilary Duff's comeback next year as we are? What are your favorite singles from the original Disney Channel queen?

When songs are used in say, advertisements, is that at all factored into the Hot 100?

Hi Bill!
What is your opinion on Ashanti's constant album push backs and the current state of her career and other R&B acts who found chart glory in the early to mid 2000s
