Despite the lyrics, this song is not actually about what Katie's name isn't. It's about their frustration with record industries. Which is funny, because it was released via Columbia records. Anyway, the song's been around since 2007, when it was released as a double A-side alongside their first single Great DJ. Back then, they played at the Islington Mill club in a Manchester suburb called Salford, building up their name and getting sold-out shows; hit producer Rick Rubin said to be in attendance on one night. A wave of NME masturbation and Katie's iconic fringe propelled them from Indie shoegazers to household names.

I mean, even hit rapper Dizzee Rascal did a cover of this song in Radio 1's Live Lounge. However, he did switch the lyrics up:

They have released a second album, Sounds from Nowheresville. It was apparently meant to feature Jay-Z. Whether it was Beyoncé threatening her shoe on more people or whether it was sophomore slump, but the second album didn't really do much at all. A Heartbreak on Hold at #23 for the album's first-week sales.
