The liberal media is way more prominent thanks to the Internet and since it's guaranteed they will support her even more after this film, she's not got a Janet situation to worry about.
Not to get off topic but if the media existed like it does now in 2004 Janet would not have received that backlash... I think it will put a lot of people off Beyoncé but they were never people rushing out to buy her music anyway.
It's risky but I still feel like people are going to adore her and support her as a performer even if they're ~offended by this film.
