Yeaaaa this storm is way worse than I thought it would be, the AC boardwalk is collapsing in some place, LI is flooded (so is Nantucket, AC, etc), and it's not even supposed to be "bad" until tonight.

I can't believe how crazy Atlantic City is already! My mom (+ FB newsfeed) has been updating me (from NJ an hour north of AC, I'm currently in RI) and the dunes at the beaches are completely underwater and the boardwalks are being destroyed

It's because of Irene, which truly was just hype, for the most part (at least around here). People were jaded, I suppose.
