Adele's 21 sold 14.5 million copies overseas last year.
The xl album, which is number one for the 20th week in the US this week following Adele's six Grammy Wins, sold more copies abroad last year than any other Britsh album has in a calendar year this century.
It is joined in the chart at number three by Adele's first album 19 with 2.3 million overseas with Coldplay.

So..21 sold 14,5 million OUTSIDE of UK during 2011. In UK it sold 3,7 million. In other words; 21 sold in total 18,2 million copies WW during 2011!
And 19 around 3,3 million copies!
Seriously!?
21 would be at 20 million possibly already this week then!!!

The true figure is 18.7million for '21' ww in 2011! Why? They are shipped figures and we already know that '21' went 14x platinum (4.2 million) in the UK on 16th December 2011! This album may be closing in on 22 million shipped now.

I can believe it, but it's better to keep using UWC numbers. Sure they don't get all the sales, but that goes for all artists, so it's the best way to compare.

Yeah and at least these numbers are updated weekly unlike label shipments that leaks only several times in a year.
