Corduroy: Murder in the Toy Store.
Our story begins late in the evening when all the shoppers supposedly had gone and the doors were shut and locked when the toys hear screams echoing throughout the mall they decide to head out on a trip together, ATRLs group of toys find a dead body! They soon realize that there's a killer among them, but who!?
There are a number of twists so be on your toes.
The Rules:
You must post in the thread at least once every 24 hours. All players who do not post for that period of time, will face uncertain doom. Its up to you to stay alive. As the clock of fate chimes at midnight each night, at least one player will remain silent forever. You must post something daily as long as you are alive. Otherwise, a randomizer decides who lives and who dies from those who don't post.
If you reveal the role of anyone else in the public forum, you will be thread banned. Depending on how far along the game is, a reset may take place for LIVING characters only. There is no benefit to anyone to reveal others.
The Roles
When the game begins, you will all be PM'd your role. If your Private Messages are listed as "friends and contacts only" add me as a friend.
Basic Jane These are completely normal, boring, and stale toys that are just trying to stay alive
Corduroy A naive and small bear with only one button. Once a night you can use that button to choke another toy, but be cautious who you kill, because after that you will become a basic Jane.
Daisy A sweet doll with a knife. You can either fend off attacks or once a night you can kill one toy or human.
Buzo An ugly clown with a plastic hammer. Only once you can fend off attacks with your plastic hammer.
Blueby A blue tie wearing rabbit. Only once you can fend off attacks with your bow tie.
Lion A stuffed lion with pointy teeth. A loud mouth that can chose to expose someone's position.
Max A stuffed dog with pointy teeth. A loud mouth that can prevent the exposure of someone's position.
Night Watchman A fat man that has the power to save you
Shoppers During the day you can either buy or damage a toy
as you can see.. whether your role is good or evil is up to you and how you play.
PART II
I'm a very controversial and polarizing figure on ATRL.. Although some have said I've calmed down recently.. I've even been compared to Donald Trump..
And even though Donald Trump is a controversial and polarizing figure.. he's a brand and he's running an empire. He's had the ability to market himself for years.
Love or hate us. We're still winning, because what?! We're sickening, opinionated, and we don't give a **** what you think about us.
1 2 3 4 5
This is my brand.

Low-key inspired by Google's "Arts & Culture" app, and a little more inspired by our faves' failed attempts at making art, this game has more than an educational purpose for the players. Based on the concept of making the contestants send in a song based on a certain theme, this game comes with an interesting twist to this already well known type of games. Each round, a task will be posted. The wide range of tasks include:
Photos of: - Paintings
- Sculptures
- Buildings
- Different natural "mysteries" of the world
- Art objects (vases for example)
- Historical events
- Clothing pieces
Here's an example of how a task would look like:

ROUND 1
Little Blonde Girl, by Paula Modersohn - Becker
Quote:
Paula Modersohn-Becker (February 8, 1876 November 21, 1907) was a German painter and one of the most important representatives of early expressionism. In a brief career, cut short by an embolism at the age of 31, she created a number of groundbreaking images of great intensity. She is becoming recognized as the first female painter to paint female nudes. Using bold forays into subject matter and chromatic color choices, she and fellow-artists Picasso and Matisse introduced the world to modernism at the start of the twentieth century.
About the painting:
It was in Worpswede that Paula met and married the artist Otto Modersohn and became a stepmother to his daughter. Soon after, she began making numerous trips to Paris and was strongly influenced by such post-impressionists as Paul Gauguin and Vincent van Gogh.

What you have to do is:- Send in a song inspired by this picture
- Be original and don't stick solely on Google interpretations of the picture, tell us what you really think about it through your song and your essay
- Write a short essay (about 250 words) explaining your choice, by relating it to the picture
- When the entries will be posted, make sure you save 2 songs and vote off 2 other ones, but you will be reminded of that when the entries will be posted.
- Please respect the deadline; otherwise, you may be eliminated
DEADLINE: 25th of July, 12PM EST
|
After the entries would be posted, the other contestants would judge the entries, adding additional comments if they want to. A panel of four judges would also comment on the entries, with the results being combined at the end. One person would be eliminated per round. The judging will be done based on the song choice and the essay and how well did the people explain their relationship with the picture itself.
I personally think that the game would attract a lot of people who are positive about sharing their creativity with others and who want to get a little more into the culture and history of our world, but also for those who are looking for something new which could spark them a bit of interest.
