This hits = touring power debate is laughable when there's no correlation in the artists who are actually touring forces. You have Rihanna, a supposed force in Europe, with like six singles and features in rotation on radio right now and 9 week #1s yet she's performing to empty seats.

A SuperBowl halftime slot then tour announcement a la Beyonce would be ten times more effective for Gaga than any hit. Such a pity they didn't utilize Grammys, Oscars, SuperBowl this year for anything, *sighs*

Whatever is on the album is whatever is on the album, and we'll have to deal with it.

The RedOne stans shouldn't have their hopes up regarding his music appearing on the album, and the Ronson/whoever stans should hop off their high horse and stop acting like Gaga is currently this indie artist.

Continue all you want, the correlation is still there. Hits help, benefit and are necessary to some degree for an artist touring career. Most of those artists you cited have a terrible reputation as live performers so of course they wouldn't be such touring forces. Some of them were in the past tho

That's not the problem, the thing is that we tend to remember the great times and Gaga at her best, I personally can not support mediocrity I can't pretend the BTW era wasn't messy and I can't pretend ARTPOP was a good album or era in general. And you know what there's only 4 albums and eras and I happen to enjoy The Fame and The Fame Monster much more because they were great, refreshing and inspiring at least to me, and those two albums represent Gaga's greatest moments in pop music IMO. If we keep waiting for LG5, we all gonna be criminaly stuck!

I have never had a meltdown over the farmer'z chart positions

When all the singles produced by one producer are hits and other single by the same artist but produced by other producers flop/underperform you have the right to claim that the producers have something to do with an artist's success dont you think? The case here is the same. The Alejandro part is true tho. It was her last mega hit in Europe. Applause was a flop there.
To say that there is no colleration between hits and touring power is the definition of delusion and stupidity. If we compare the farmer's BTW to Artrave in UK- the decline is so obvious.
Artrave had less shows and cheaper tickets because of that- no hits, less demand. There is no colleration between hits and touring power when it comes to one hit wonders and artists that are not taken seriously and nave never been touring forces. Take a look at the Teenage Dream tour. Katy had 5 #1s yet her tour did poorly. Why? Because she was never seen as a good performer worth paying for. Regarding Rihanna- she was never a touring force.
But when it comes to Gaga- no hits- less demand, decline in tour gross. Why do you think her BTWB gross was so big with only like 90 shows? She had the hits( one, btw- long way forgotten) and the tickets were expensive.

Let them fool themselves, they can mention as many artists as they want to prove you wrong, at the end of the day we all know that the success of her singles not only after her personally, but also the entire era's performance.

The BTW Era was messy but the music and performances made up for it. It's one of the biggest female pop eras of all time. I know we had two very divided eras in a row but hopefully lg5 satisfies enough fans.she can't satisfy them all that's a fact.

Also Mark and Gaga don't really have reference points to gauge how good or bad he is with her yet. I'm excited but wary as well. I don't want another zedd and madeon situation. I thought they'd surely deliver the best material on the album. Redone has pretty good highs with her , but her rapist, DJWS, and Garibay have created her best tunes.

Honestly, why is Poker God so high on iTunes and has so many views despite it being released 8 years ago? I was told that its production is dated and it belongs to 2009? Meanwhile the farmer's singles released in 2011 and after that are no where to be seen? Why so?
