I have some morning tea for y'all
The triple punch of Desperado-Woo-Needed Me really exemplifies the amazing vocal delivery on ANTI. I am so thankful for the many hours Rih and Kuk put in... so many small moments that are just incredible. ANTI was truly her return to adlibs. This is what we were missing during the yearly releases. With ample time to experiment and record we got so many small, pleasant moments on each track. It really takes each song to the next level.
"... sittin' in a old Monte Carlo, a man whose heart is hollow, uhhh huh"
"Send for meeee (yeah, yeh), send for meeee (yeah, yeh, eh), send for meeee (oooohooohoo)"
"I been thinking bout ya lately, I b
eeen thinking only of you
Ain't nothing else to really talk about, boy show me what ya wan do
These days you be feeling light, yeah, i been feeling lonely tooOoo
I'm a **** it up once you show me some, run it back like you owe me sum"
(writing these lyrics out, I really felt The-Dreamness of this song
such a weird combination of writers and producers but that's why it's excellent)
"I was good on my own that's the way it was..."
"Feeling jaded, huh?"
"Break it down like a pound **** was never us..."
The way the end of each lyric/sentence during the verses trails off into the ether
