HMV can go right back into admin with their overpriced products

Slay at the rest though. I think I applied to Boots like 7 times during the course of 4 years and gave up int he end

Yeah - it seems like Boots are real picky when it comes to choose people. I think I've applied like three times including today.

You dodged a bullet. I worked at HMV for two years and it was trash. The computer system, the staff and the garbage we were forced to upsell. I think if i worked with better people I would have a different experience but they were all so uninformed about pop culture it drove me insane.

Well, that's great then. I only really thought I'd be great for it because of my knowledge for upcoming releases in every department and actually being able to give information and help customers. I've always thought that the workers in HMV's were evidently sick of their job.

That's a fair assessment. I remember I worked during major releases (Bangerz, Prism, King of Leon Mechanical Bull) and some of that staff could not care less. They were into like Doctor Who and Star Trek. And even big movie releases some of that staff had no opinion because "they don't go to the theatre". Mess. The staffing must have been really selective.

Good luck with the search and don't get too discouraged. Something good will come along and then you'll be relieved you didn't settle for something less.

That seems to be a common thing everywhere. I was told during my work experience at Smyths (toy store) that the whole team were into Star Wars and then asked if I liked it and I was like "I don't care at all" and I was warned I wouldn't be taken seriously by anybody anymore

Why thank you. I have no idea what I want but it's definitely retail based so maybe the whole apprenticeship situation is the best thing to do since I'll get an NVQ Level 2 in Retail if I do so and then just head up from there.

I was so determined and driven to make changes and start doing things, and I did. For like a month. And I'm just so tired all the time now and only do things and go out because I'm forcing myself to, not because I want to. And when I'm out all I can think of is how much I want to be at home, in my room, doing nothing.
