I fail to see how either of these events will spark a sudden surge in sales as if people aren't already hearing ''Hello'' with it being on loop 24/7 on the radio or that the fact that mostly casual fans will be tuning in for the special and most likely already own or have heard the single.
Why would she get a boost from announcing dates for a tour? The only thing not falling Into place here is your overexgeration over the boost you hope to happen.
All the media will cover the news. It has always boosted album sales, especially overseas.
(though the effect could be minimal since everyone knows about the album or massive since it's Adele)
