OS X or Windows doesn't matter but like, I'm always struggling with clicking and dragging when playing games (e.g. editing features in TS4) so does anyone know a way around it? I don't mind using a mouse but using the touch pad is preferable.

I've always used a touch pad to play the sims but honestly a mouse is the way to go. Especially with how delicate CAS is and the camera in game is hard to get used to and control. So use a mouse

Yeah I figured that'd be the best option, I was looking into it for my FPS's anyway. A shame, since it just seems to be a problem with Apple their making the entire touch pad a button.

So I proposed to my boyfriend and I decided to plan the event. What I didn't know was it'd do it right away. So I'm at the park with 15 guests at 3 am in the morning all cranky and tired. Everyone is being a mess going to the bathroom and everyone wants to leave. My new to be husband had work and this b****h had the f****ing audacity to leave the wedding for work. and everyone left too. What a flop of a wedding. Thank god I saved before the event.

Apparently if the Sims 4 doesn't sell well, there won't be a Sims 5 (according to the team).

So basically, rather than give it one last shot, EA are going to cut the game. But meh, someone else will pick it up.

It's "The Sims" after all.

Mess. They just need to add pools (and I suppose basements as well since they use the same floor) and add toddlers as an optional life stage. Then, I'd be more willing to buy.

That'd be stupid as ****, The Sims is one of the biggest game series ever, it's their awful marketing for it that's the reason for it probably not selling to their standards. But like you said, some other company will steal it, and probably do a better job.

I'm starting to think that EA has run out of ideas for The Sims as an IP and is kinda hoping they can just kill it off, especially since the way they have handled The Sims 4 has been such a marketing disaster + SimCity have TRULY ruined any respect the corporation once had. I hate them.

The thing is, they were really onto something golden with the creation of bodies and houses in TS4 so it was just them skipping key features that was the issue here. No one (other than a few select fanatics) would give two ***** about an open world if the base game had no features missing (pools etc.) and more customisation opens/Create-A-Style.

If they'd have literally made The Sims 3 without the open-world then TS4 would have been a masterpiece and everyone would love it, not to mention hardware restrictions would already have been minimised.
