It's not that simple. If the Switch will be comparable in power to the SHIELD, it would still have a huge advantage in the fact that it runs Nintendo's proprietary OS as opposed to Android (a resource hog that's not made primarily for gaming).
Nvidia and Nintendo have developed APIs to give developers powerful graphical options at their disposal. That means third parties will get help developing for the system and porting games over to the Switch will be made relatively easy.
I assure you, an iPhone 7 could never run a game like Breath of the WIld because it simply lacks the GPU power to render that huge open world. The only thing it has over the Switch is the CPU, which is extremely powerful, but it has to keep up with iOS and lacks the modern features of the Nvidia Tegra chip.
This chip is made to provide developers with the latest innovations in tech, and despite its apparent lack of power it will still be enough for those developers to port their games over.
