Respect has to be earned but in your case, it's really more about people needing to respect your choice to believe in a religion.

And trying to force a certain standard on everyone else is precisely the thing that backfires. So it's just better to Adblock the avatar and ignore it rather than making the rest of us add one more thing to a list that no one is offended by.

Well I could agree with you, BUT I'll bet the amount of Christian people here is bigger.
I just find it insensitive. I wonder, other insensitive gifs are warnable, so why not add these ones to the list.

The gifs you speak of are banned because they are made/posted intentionally to rile up a stanbase. Not because they are insensitive.

No one posts the Jesus gifs to offend Christians. If someone were to start posting them specifically to offend Christians I am sure they would be banned quickly enough.

Mixing singers faces to Jesus' face is enough. I know it isn't meant to be offensive, but people that don't give a heck about other's religion don't know that this could be offensive to Christian people's feelings. I hope this makes sense to you.

You don't know me or what I feel about religious people. I was raised in church. Up until this past year I still went to church three times a week. I do know what is offensive in Christian's eyes. So yes. I could see how it could be offensive. I think you're just doing a little bit too much. Honestly, if you really care that much then you can Adblock the image like others have said. It's not going to harm anyone if you do.

Well Jesus died because of our sins, but anyway, I just think that religion topic should be excluded from ATRL, because people don't get that some things may be harmful and offensive. Why bring it up? Let's exclude Jesus gifs. It worked with bleach and racism gifs.

Being offended is a choice that you are making. The fact that you choose to be offended over something that was not intended to be offensive shouldn't effect the forum rules.

I would guess that a fair portion of this forum is christian. Yet you are the first person I have ever seen complain about it....... so while others may just remain silent I am guessing only a small minority of Christians on the forum are offended.

Why make a rule against something that the VAST majority of Christians on the board are not offended by?

I am offended by a lot of things posted on this forum & the internet in general. That doesn't mean I should crusade to ban those subjects. I mean...... there was a whole thread a couple months back of people stating that gays shouldn't be allowed to adopt children... and I don't think a single WP was given because they were not saying it to offend anyone (though I most certainly was). They were just stating their opinions.

Unless there is an intent to offend (which isn't the case here) it shouldn't be banned.
