You must be joking? They're the most sophisticated lyrics on the album. Verse 1 is ART talking to POP and verse 2 is POP talking to ART. Together they create something timeless, music not the bling.

I dont think theres many clever well written songs on artpop actually. Nothing on the album touches Poker Face, Bloody Mary, Marry The Night, Edge Of Glory, You and I, Dance In The Dark, Paparazzi, Bad Romance, Judas, Monster, Teeth, So Happy I Could Die, in terms of lyrics.

This. I mean just because the lyrics sound sophisticated, doesn't mean they actually mean anything I prefer G.U.Y or Mary Jane Holland's lyrics cause they actually make sense and are quite smart, but the whole album was a step down, lyrically, from her others.
